Snuff films have probably been real since home movie equipment became widely available. That's my personal belief on it. My proof? People are screwed up beyond belief. That's it but its indisputable.

Exactly. It's insane how many people refuse to accept how truly fucked up people can be. If ordinary people can imagine this kind of shit, then why wouldn't some disturbed mind actually execute it if he had the means to do so. There are no limits to human depravity, everything we can imagine to do upon another has already been done countless of times before.

yeh given the amount of people that go missing and the amount of screwed uppityness of people in general and probably increasing...I just feel its a safe/unsafe assumption that these things (or just footage of murders) occasionally get made whether they getting uploaded or not. They probably mostly get deleted/destroyed if the killer gets hold of it and assumes they could be doxxable from it. Like career criminals try to get hold of security cam footage or disable the cams as part of the plan if possible. I guess cctv isn't considered snuff but I'm just applying the same principle: There might be murderous film makers who just don't go through with broadcasting the footage.

A little fact about Cannibal Holocaust: While the murders were fake, the director was still charged because the killings of the animals- some endangered- were proven to be true.
@SirChubbyBunny
@SirChubbyBunny 10 жыл бұрын
Ruggero Deodato, the director, has gone on to say he regrets doing the animal death scenes; and once said he regrets doing the movie entirely. One thing that I'm not sure many know either is that the movie is also one of the films from the time period that also used real cadavers for some sequences. And trust me, this wasn't a super uncommon thing either in the 1980s.

The director's studio wanted him to include animal killings. This was something that the director did not want to do.

You forgot to mention that Cannibal Holocaust included literal animal cruelty depicting the slaughter of innocent creatures who lost their lives for entertainment. Also, a snuff film is bound to be real. We can't have gone centuries of fucked up lunatics and not one filmed a murder. Another interesting movie to bite is Augusts Underground, the snuff simulation movies that try portray insane friends murdering their peers. It features shitty home movie style camera work to add the realism.

+johnmacrae2006 google the london tape. author hunter s. thompson often wrote/spoke of the government making snuff films. google david ray parker aka the toy box killer/murderer; he supposedly filmed and/or broadcast his killings. also, despite the fact that 'the manson family' film contains staged/faked death scenes that doesn't mean that the REAL manson cult did not actually shoot some real snuff films. they had much camera equipment at their compound + there was that roman polanski connection. serial killers Lake and Ng and Bernardo and Homolka also filmed their killings. it has long been rumored that ottis toole and henry lee lucas also filmed some of their murders.

This guy obviously never saw any of the real faces of death films. There wasnt any snuff, but it definitely wasnt just animals and news footage. There were self-recorded suicides, people falling large distances, executions, accidental deaths, industrial catastrophies, police photos/videos, murders 'caught on tape' and even a guy being torn apart by a swarm of sharks. There were some with animals, like people bashing a monkeys head open and eating its brain as an eastern delicacy, pirhannas devouring a lamb, and some very cruel government animal testing involving pigs and blowtorches (which was the hardest one for me). Most of them are so grainy and low def that you really cant see much in detail

There are some pretty screwed up people in the comments here. Seriously, if you willingly subject yourself to a video of a real human dieing. That's just beyond me. No matter the circumstances, I've heard the "it helps me come to terms with ■■■■" argument but I couldn't honestly couldn't care less. If that's the case, you have problems that watching real deaths won't ever solve. Someone who I never added on skype, (yet knew through some friends) once sent me a link. The link contained a gif that looked lke it had been shot on an old phone. It was of these 3 dudes who chased down a girl, tackled her and cut her throat. There was no sound, of coarse, but you could see so much blood... I really hope it was fake, but I honestly dont think it was.

You went from talking/typing down to people for watching content involving human death ~THEN~ admitted to watching a video of a girl getting her throat slit (even though it was sent to you, you watched it bc you obviously knew what happened in the video) Why'd you watch it? Grant it, you prob didnt know what was going to happen but you had to know it wouldnt be good..'..3 dudes chased down a girl (could've STOP'd), tackled her (could've STOP'd )and cut ger throat' but more than likely (like most humans) your curiosity was peaked & you COULDNT STOP watching it. There are some severly sick & twisted individuals out there that ENJOY & even get um...excited by these kinds of films/clips/videos but most of the time its basic human interest. Its a proven fact , there is a part of the human brain that draws us to depressing things (death is pretty depressing)

18807BB Well that's grest, and I understand what your getting at, but no, sorry I'm not lieing to myself. I hate stephen king novels and I hate the horror genre as a whole. The only thing close to a super gore-filled show I liked was deadliest warrior. And possibly "The Raid" a series of Asian action films. But that's the point, they're both fake, not reall, no one died, no one even probably got hurt. It is not the same as watching a real person face a real death, that person feels real fear, real saddness, real pain, real hopelessness. And I'll say it agaim, anyone willing to use that to help them self, really needs to learn some respect for the dead.

Definition. A snuff film, or snuff movie, is "a movie in a purported genre of movies in which a person is actually murdered or commits suicide". ... Some filmed records of executions and murders exist, but in those cases, the death was not specifically staged for financial gain or entertainment.

This kind of reminds me a history lesson I had to sit there many years ago: Back in Rome long before movies, TV, Radio and such plays were what you went to for visual entertainment. Duing these plays which were often Shakespearean in nature, prisoners would actually be killed by the "Good guy," in public as a form of death row, essentially. I think that's about as close as we'll ever get to a publicly accept stuff film.

I find this conversation hilarious given what we come from. From public beheading to the Colosseum, the act of murder as entertainment has only in recent years been something we frown upon. Remember, a snuff film is one where a death is filmed and distributed for release, we literally skipped that middle man before and sold tickets to the live event. In terms of how bothered by it I personally am, I am not, people will put any medium to whatever use, It is unfortunate that it happens though. We are also missing the most important part of the "snuff" film genre. I believe that if they did exist on some level that they would not be passed around so fluidly amongst the world. Someone paying for a snuff film probably wants it for themselves, or perhaps had it made for them specifically, why release something that can be traced back to you?

Snuff material is a commodity, like anything else. All it takes is the right place to sell it from and the right untraceable currency to trade it in. For as much surveillance the governments want to believe they have over the people, it's simply a cat-and-mouse game with work-arounds for every other implemented system.
@WolfAdvocated

You've honestly opened my mind a bit with the first part of your comment, in a world where every murderer is on the news as a horrific, unique, unheard of circumstance, we forget that violence has always been a part of our lives, and even used as entertainment for thousands of years. The idea that it used to be live is much more horrifying, because by witnessing it and not intervening when there is still a chance of survival you would be contributing to the murder, but merely watching it after the fact seems much less horrible, in comparison... Humans have always had morbid curiosity, I suppose. Somehow this makes me feel oddly better, but I'm not sure it should.

There was a guy that investigated pedophile rings in the 1980s (Pre Franklin Scandal) and he said that along with pedos trading/selling tapes of kids being abused he also discovered that other people were trading/selling tapes of children being killed. In those videos however it was extremely difficult to know who these kids were (many from 3rd world countries) as well as the locations of the filming, and impossible to determine who the murderers were. Since they never showed their faces on film. All of those things combined made it impossible to be able to prove that these were actual murders, but he and all others involved were convinced they were real considering how vile the proven real videos of abuse and child molestation were. It wasn't a huge step for these sick fucks to take to just kill some kid, considering all of the other stuff they had done, and in some cases it may have been necessary to keep everything quietly moving along. These were not mass produced, but rather traded/sold/copied amongst small groups of sick fucked up people. Some of which were people with respectable high paying jobs in society, much like The Franklin Scandal scenario.

I realy don't doubt it. Snuff is most definitive real. but red rooms, they just don't excist. just not possible (On the deep/dark web then) . so yeah debatable for sure. Why you ask. On the Tor network, it wouldn't be possible, just try to open a normal video on there, that was just uploaded, it'll take minutes to load. for maybe a minute of video sometimes, or even shorter. Now you realy think by yourself about doubting it again, of their excistense?!?! Realy a live stream is just not possible. On the other hand, on the so called surface net, don't believe in it, it's just what most of the general people will see. If someone finds a way of streaming, like such a video to our visible for everybody internet, and know how to stay out of sight, and have these intentions, sorry but it could be real most definitely. Not saying that it is, but damn sure, why it will be debatacle in some way :P

Snuff films aren't a thing. A snuff film isn't recorded murder for entertainment. It is recorded murder for a PROFIT. It doesn't matter how many videos of real murder there is on the internet. They are NOT snuff films. Luka Magnotta recording his sick twisted 1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick video was not snuff, because he released it to the Best Gore owner to put it on the website publicly for anybody to watch. If people film an actual movie that shows real murder to sell copies like a Hollywood film studio, then you can say snuff films are real. You are spreading lies, simply because you and many viewers don't know the definition of a snuff film. If they do exist, it wouldn't be free. Also, the general public would never even know about it unless someone from that underground community leaked it. So far, if one does exist, it hasn't been leaked. All we can do is wonder and guess.

@malikmister
@malikmister 6 жыл бұрын
You most certainly could do a redroom on the deep web. The deep web isn't the onion network accessible only with Tor. The deep web only refers to websites and servers that can't be found by search engines. Before Tor, if someone mentioned "deep web" sites, it was websites with no registered URL. You had to type the IP address to access it. There are ways to prevent search engine spiders from crawling your site and indexing it, but if you have a registered domain name, the existence of the site is still documented and could come up on a search engine in one way or another. There are deep web sites all over the "regular internet". The difference is it isn't as safe or anonymous as Tor, so the onion network is where everyone goes for their illegal shit. Just saying.. Also, Tor is getting less safe and anonymous as time passes. There are also onion network search engines now, too. There are also ways to access many onion sites without Tor now, but if it is illegal, that is just asking for trouble. Basically, Tor is technically not all "deep web" anymore as far as the normal definition goes, but "deep web" is what everyone refers to it as, and that isn't going to change.

There is a scene that takes place in a morgue, and the body you see of a young boy is real. There is also a scene where people kill a turtle, and that's real. The court couldn't prove he had knowledge of the murders themselves so he was charged for fencing. Also Bestgore isn't really the problem, it is the tip of the iceberg, most Dark Web Websites are much worse, Bestgore and Rotten are the sites that showcase gore as it surfaced, most of the content the darker ones will never be known to regular people (or you have to be FBI)

My personal beliefe is that snuff films do exist. And that they are around longer then we think. The spread of Internet and the wide use of recording mediums (like cameras, cellphone with cameras etc) are the main reasons with snuff films are made known now to us, the general public. Some shock sites, like Bestgore or Ogrish, are nowdays another way of making your "work" know to the general public, much like Like Magnotta did or even when this "work" finds its way to the main stream just like Dnepropetrovsk maniacs videos did. Anyway, I firmly believe that these kind of films existed for far more then we think. It is just now that they are easier for the us to find and watch...

MikeTheGreat I think they exist as well, but we've yet to find a documented case of an authentic snuff film; one that was sold and distributed and not one that was simply uploaded to a website. I'm sure there is a type of underground black market where trades like this do exist, but when they'll surface is part of the waiting game.

I recall watching this one film several years ago. A man tricked a bunch of kids into thinking they were gonna be in a movie, but instead he brought them into the middle of the woods in a bus and killed them. He would pretend to set up a scene that appeared to portray someone dying, having the kids play the part (obviously), then he would actually kill them while they didn't suspect a thing. One scene involved a kid and a noose. The kid would hang from the noose and be let down before he suffocates, but instead he was shoved off the platform while the Norse was around his neck, and the man would pull him down by the legs to tighten the noose, to prevent the kid from getting loose. He would dismember his victims and dispose of them somehow

Wait... do you actually believe that murder was never caught on camera before 1999? Back then, when someone asked "are snuff films real?" No one meant "was a murder ever caught on camera?". Because the answer to that question was obviously yes. As long as there has been cameras there has been people using them to record all kinds of things. When someone asked "are snuff films real?" we meant if there are any commercially available, for profit, movies, made by a real crew and actors, with a script etc etc (like SAW, Hostel, Halloween or whatever): that features a murder scene were the actor was actually killed. The rumors back then was that some movie makers got homeless people to agree to get killed on camera in exchange for the makers giving large amounts of money to their surviving families. A movie like that has never actually been made, hence snuff films are only a myth.

THANK YOU! That was the perfect way to explain this. PERFECT. I completely agree and have researched this. Imho, no actual snuff films, in the true sence of the meaning, exist OR perhaps just not found.

I remember how popular the myth of snuff films were back in the 1970s, especially after the movie Snuff was released. In Paul Schrader's 1978 movie Hardcore, George C. Scott was trying to track down a snuff filmmaker 'Ratan' who his runaway daughter was hanging with. Many people also consider the 1970 documentary Gimme Shelter as snuff, showing a concert goer stabbed and beaten to death.

Hussle it up man. U cover interesting topics, but the point is gotten to so slowly. You gotta cut the cut scenes way down or out completely. I wanna hear everything, but every time I have to fight myself not to change it. I don't always win. So it's safe to say I don't binge these or even get 2 down. Just shoe everything while you're talking, go a bit faster, & stop showing the unnecessary clips. If you need them, put them in the talk thru parts. It's not necessarily the length, it's the turtles pace everything gotten thru. Sorry man. I'll keep trying tho.

+Megan How long does it take you to type something like that? That's literally just me talking for like 3 min. I don't have a lot of time, I just always keep myself busy. All day, if I'm not on the phone or answering work emails during my breaks, I'll respond to & leave comments on YT. So possibly my lack of patience is due, in part, to my hectic lifestyle. But i stand by my criticisms. I've seen 1000s of videos like these that give you more thought out information, in much less time. So he needs to condense everything if he wants to match up to any of the others in this genre. And btw, not that u or anyone else gives a shit, but I obviously left that comment for the host, since the initial focus of comment sections was to comment to the host, about their video. So this concerned none of you,&I'm sure the host thanks u, all of his Knights in Shining Armor, but not listening to criticism is the best way to let your show get stale & go downhill. So maybe don't stroke his ego when reasonable criticisms are concerned. There, that long enough for ya? Speech-2-text is fucking awesome, and it takes such little time.

Back in 94 I was a freshman in highschool. That year Nine Inch Nails were touring for the Downward Spiral album. There was a guy in the parking lot selling VHS copies of a video of a man that had another man tied up in a room(maybe a storage unit). It was about 10min with NIN playing loudly. The guy who had the other tied up was naked with a gimp mask on. He stabbed and cut the guy multiple times, eventually opening his abdomen and tearing out the heart. He then walked up to the camera, took a bite of the heart and turned off the camera. This is absolutely true. I'm not making it up. I can't believe I haven't come across anyone else on the internet that has seen it. Maybe the friend of my friend was one of only a few people that bought the tape. Makes me wonder if the guy he had bought it off of was the killer..? Back then I don't think we had even heard the term "snuff film". Once again I'm not making this up.

"Unlike the earlier Faces of Death which included fake deaths and reenactments, Traces consists mostly of actual footage depicting death and injury, and consists also of public domain footage from other films. It was written and narrated by Damon Fox. Since its release, Traces of Death has been followed by four sequels. The first sequel, Traces of Death II, was released the following year in 1994. This was followed by Traces of Death III in 1995, Traces of Death IV: Resurrected in 1996 and Traces of Death V: Back in Action in 2000"

Commercial Snuff films? I think you you just whitewashed over a real topic with some bogus commercial nonsense. What I think of when I hear the words "snuff film" is a sexualized murder produced for an elite buyer as in the film 8mm. Ted Gunderson has revealed some o this type of thing in connection with the Franklin Coverup and the Johnny Gosch case. The movie "A Serbian Film" depicts the filming of a feature length snuff film with a level of depravity most could never fathom, only the most sexually sadistic psychopaths. Just as Elizabeth of Bathroy bathed in blood so do still the elites of today relish their own forms of horrors as hobbies and pastimes. For we are only peasants and serfs.
