Im an afro-american who likes history and from my understanding somali are kushitic people , afro-asiatic similar to Berbers/Amazigh genetically , though from my understanding some do have Arab ancestors because of traders intermarrying especially along coastal cities , there is also Arabs that speak somali and who have assimilated into you guys culture.....I find it all to be fascinating , i know one thing for sure is that Somali are the real descendants of ancient Egypt , along with there cousins the Nubians in North Sudan, the Beja , and the oromo. Some of us(Sa’ad tribe, Daroud al Uqaili tribe, Arab Salah tribes etc) are part Arabic bcs if I (from Banu Makhil of Sa’ad tribe) am light skinned(I look mixed, or Hadhramawti so much so I’m asked if im from Yemeni rather than being asked if from Somalia), can trace my lineage to Yemen, and have all the Arabic features, then I would be doing myself and my Arabic part an injustice by just forgetting about it and simply saying I’m 100% Somali. Rather I’m brown, 50% Somali 50% Arab, and I love all the parts(Yemeni, Somali) that make me, me all the same❤️. Simple

My parents are of Persian origin. However, there are also a large amount who are not, and they like to claim heritage from other countries. Brothers and sisters, we are all Muslims Alhamdulillah. In the first 7 minutes they said they were Arab because they were Arab. In the second half they said they're African because they're Bantu. Also not all Arabs are green/white. Original Arabs from the southern Syrian desert and northern Arabian desert and south Yemen were mostly brown. You should see the difference in facial features and colour. Also the ones in the start used hand gestures a lot like Arabs. Somalia is not Arab, but it's not African. Some Bantu, some are Arab, some are Habesha.
