Yes! I was listening to an interview with a woman who lost her son. He was communicating with her after his death and he told her that spirits are a photon-based life form whereas humans are carbon-based life form. Very fascinating!

Great explanation Grant, and pretty deep! Need a few beers and a big bag of cheese puffs to digest this one, but I like this theory. I strongly feel when we die that we don't become nothing or cease to exist. It is not that we go up there but simply transfer next door to another plain. I think this place is nearby and runs parallel to what we know as our reality now. What we think of as years is simply a blip of time in this other place. Hence, life here is short...really short. Make the most of this time and look at this place as just one of many opportunities, use it to do good. Just my theory guys based on certain clues I have been blessed to receive from loved ones over there. Thanks Grant.

One of the problems the paranormal fields have suffered from was clear and precise definitions of the terminology used. I greatly appreciate that Grant and others have come such a long way in fixing that. As aspects of the field become more clearly defined, the field becomes more mainstream science. I also appreciate videos like this which expand the terminology and define each aspect. It makes a tremendous difference in how we describe what we see, and how others understand what we are describing. Keep up the good work!

Spirits are organized intellegence. Spirits have energy. I had my grandmother come to me when I was a child. She was spirit, but it was her. Her feelings and emotions and intelligence were still the same. She told me about a nickname she used to call me dad. Grant I agree with your thinking about spirits. I believe spirits can be created by light or darkness depending on what you did with yourself. I remember a story I learned growing up about moses. I know it's my faith, but it had a profound impact on me. I will share it, not go force my thoughts. I just want to share why I think like I think. In my faith we are taught moses saw god and he had light or glory. After god appeared satan appeared and moses asked the question where is your glory or light. That stuck with me. What makes a being shine with light and what makes it where a being cannot shine light. I have had experiences with shadow beings and beings that are full of light. Anyhow I dont want to preach. Right after my last grandchild was born, and left the hospital my daughter and her boyfriend were at my house. I was sitting in one room and they were in another with the lil one. I just happen to look up at the doorway and saw what looked to me like a fine fluttering of snowfall. Like fine glitter falling. And at the same time I heard my daughters boyfriend yell, " oh my god, did you see that!?" I went in the room and he said did you see that. I said well I saw something, what did you see. He said a man was standing right by the door. When I looked up and saw him he disappeared. I told him what I saw. My daughter and her boyfriend were a bit shook up. I figure one of our male family members coming to say hi to our New lil family member.

Thank you Grant, I'm hoping and praying that what you speak about and have experienced is the energy that has transmitted into the soul. My husband passed away a year ago. My daughter and I were both in the hospital room when the medical team tried to resusitate his heart the second and last time. I didn't want to see them doing this so I turned away toward the window. At the time of them resusitating him I felt a very cold breeze whoosh past me toward the window. Even though he lived for another 5 minutes or so, I'm thinking that his energy or soul left at that point and is living in heaven or even around us. Thanks for your thoughts.

I have seen ample shadow figures and light figures but don’t feel energy off them exactly but it just feels natural to see them. Love ur channel Grant xx

Can't manage to get my thoughts into an appropriate comment-section length, going to keep trying. Basically, even now while alive we're "just energy", existing in 4 dimensions. I still exist as a 6 year old kid in the 1980s. That's all still there. Also,when it comes to cameras vs eyewitnessing - if a camera setup had no microphone, an explosion would be soundless. Filming in black and white, there is no blue in the sky. A normal optical spectrum camera will see a light-bulb lit - an infra-red will be able to 'show' if it is an incandescent of an LED cool bulb. The mistake we make as people is to think that we have created equipment that can record all of the things that we perceive with different senses. We have cameras we equate with eyes, and microphones we equate to ears, etc - but they're not at all close to our "equals". Cameras have been around 100+ years more or less. The human brain has been taking in and processing information with an efficiency that gives us as bags of DNA a "fighting chance" to replicate into more bags of DNA in a hostile universe, and it has been doing it for as long as humans have been humans, and then longer still. Basically anything with a "senses system" that can allow an organism to take steps to survive will perceive reality in a way that will keep that organism alive and out of another organism's stomach. If we percieve a very specific incident of mist as a full bodied apparition - my bet is it is because that is what is actually there. Also, if I pull a flash drive out of a camera I can't push it against my eyeball and see what's recorded on it. It needs to pass through a system designed to translate and display what has been recorded. So cameras don't have a "see ghosts" system, it just sees the energy the entity is expelling into the visible spectrum. No ghost on camera. The brain takes in the energy being expelled by the mist, translates it into an apparition. Eh. Maybe it has something to do with morphic resonance. It's one of those ideas that floats around the bio field a bit, but you can't say it too loud or you'll get turned into a pariah. Can tell you though there's a lot of 'stealth spiritualists' in the bio/medical field. I wasn't one of the stealthy ones ;) but I ran into quite a few of them during my career.

Caldinea I LOVE THIS. Yes, I will be talking a bit about morphic resonance. You can count on that. And yes, that’s the big difference between our senses and recording equipment. We seem to have some sort of unseen filter as well as the ability to use all senses to make a bit more of what we experience.

Where have you been all my life? I thought I watched through every ITC channel. Needless to say, I’m so glad I found your channel. You present your knowledge about the paranormal with a scientific explanation. 👻👍 This was a very educational video. You’re right the brain and neural activity shuts down in death. The body which you can say “houses energy” just basically as you said goes back to the earth and decomposes so that it can fertilize soil which in turn gets recycled to help plants grow, in which gives food to animals who eat plants. This is often explained in the eating/energy/trophic pyramid taught in ecology/environmental classes. I forgot what it’s called so I’ll have to quickly look it up. Nonetheless I still believe in the afterlife. But your video just reminds me I need to rephrase what “spirit” and “spirit voices” are. As I’ve been using this “energy” argument to explain why the voices we capture aren’t always going sound like the voices of our deceased loved ones

The spirit or soul is made of something. Obviously capable of giving and reflecting light. Some sort of particles that were contained in the body. The real us because were stuck in this physical shell. It will be so cool to find out all this stuff. There are things we don't even know exist. What I'm interested in is the whole resurrection idea. A lot of people are afraid to mention religious belief with a paranormal hypothesis. In this topic I feel it is descriptive of the soul containing a body & spirit. The body dies so the brain dies. No brain, no consciousness left in our material existence. The spirit, if left behind for unknown reasons, has awareness but not consciousness. Consciousness belongs with the soul IMHO.

This is great information, I've been looking for an answer about what I saw when we first moved into our home 18yrs ago. Question: What did I see? I've come over from 'Haunt Me' series after seeing you on an investigation. You seem like the one to ask. I've been watching paranormal shows hoping to find someone who has captured the same experience, but with no luck. Thought I'd try myself but haven't had a manifestation like the following 3 since. The story starts the day after we moved in to our rural farm......... I was carry a box out the door into the carport and literally nearly dropped it after running into an elderly man, who looked just as shocked as me and just as real as you see your wife in front of you. (he looked totally shocked, like a deer in headlights). Dressed in a light print short sleeved collared shirt, khaki coloured dress shorts with a thin brown belt, socks pulled up and leather dress shoes, he was thin and around 70 yrs old he had groomed silvery grey side part , clean shaven and brown eyes, looked to be early 80's vintage old man clothes. I apologised for nearly running into him 'thinking another neighbour was coming to say welcome' when he just vanished. My husband who was in the carport next to the pickup didn't see anything? 2 to 3 seconds ......I was bamboozled & questioning my eyes!!! I've since seen another (different man) in detail whom I thought was real but vanished before my eyes twice, in a car I purchased 2nd hand for work? I was an Armed Security Escort for Banks, VIPs, Cash & Valuables for nearly 10 yrs. Drug and psych evaluated regularly . I also have found the front door open in the middle of the night, creaking of weight on the stairs, the kettle being switched on, it clicks, and my dog use to growl and bark at nothing on the internal stairs, plus the Tv turned on by itself a few times (it's not a smart TV). I researched what to do then decided to tell whoever that they were not welcome in our house because my kids were scared & seeing things in their room at night. It did quiet down and my children eventually left home. I'd catch the odd shadow breaking light or hear very faint voices but I've ignored it for years ...until covid lock down!!! Since then I've been trying to make contact and researching the history of our area and who lived here before us. Kind regards Irena Australia.

This is one of the best explanations I've heard about spirits and energy. The Institute of Noetic Sciences has some great digital conversations about this subject and others in their Digital Library. Their goal was to try to find scientific explanations for the paranormal, and they did carry out experiments like the 21 grams experiment and found interesting results. I like to think of spirits more in terms of consciousness rather than energy. Traditional science focused on consciousness as a byproduct of our brains firing neurons across synapses. However, there are recent studies that suggest that consciousness exists outside of the body (capable of manipulating random number generators, etc.), not to mention the paranormal implications of this as well (remote viewing, street light interference, poltergeist activity). So if our consciousness is not bound strictly to our body during life, who's to say it wouldn't carry on in the same manner after death? Now as far as what that consciousness is composed of, how it manifests in different ways, etc., I have no idea. But I guess that's what keeps us all so intrigued by the paranormal.

my understanding is that Source or god, whatever you want to call it is a collective consciouness made up of light and sound waves or (frequencies). thoughts from the consciousness project themselves into the physical for experience and expansion. when the experience no longer serves, our consciouness withdraws and merges back with collective. The physical body still vibrates after death, and every thought feeling and experience each identity had exists in the field, the vibrations we align to and pull in or see will be a vibrational match to what is vibrating in our feild from our consciousnesd, our bodies reside in this field of consciousness. when you see ghosts you are seeing a projection that is existing in the field, this is different to connecting with the personality of loved ones passed. one is the discarded thoughts and feelings from a life once lived the other is source infused thought forms projecting themselves forward because ee were thinking about them looking for comfort or resolve. light and sound creating thoughts that think manifest into a physical experience to expand the collective through imagination snd creation.

I literally just had the same revelation and to add on top to it, imagine an older person feeling their energy being drained from them, what if, their energy begins to excite so much that it begins traveling at the speed of light (and remember, E=mc2) meaning it leaves the body mass behind, and we can’t see this energy because it’s is now moving faster than the speed of light and then you start “seeing the light” until your consciousness completely leaves. Maybe it keeps traveling faster than the speed of light and reaches a black hole and then heaven is what’s beyond the black hole and that’s why heaven and earth are eternally separate. Maybe your faith determines whether you’re sent to a hell hole or a heaven hole😂

I think you are talking about astral body. Yes astral body does exist and they are in some kind of energy form with memory. There is a astral world parallel to our world. That world is exact photocopy of our living world and both located in same place over each other.When a person dies they will get seperated from body but still have memory but after that memory get what they want that astral body either enter new infant body or dissolve into universe.

This makes perfect sense to me. My grandma told me she thought when she died, she would become a "twinkle". When my dad died and we were notifying people, a friend of mom and dad's said she knew someone died because she saw an orb like light twinkle in a room. Maybe grandma was right all along. We become a twinkle! Light.

I like to wonder about how the spiritual world exists parallel to our "physical" world and how it all connects to the cosmos. If only we can document an interview with an intelligent spirit on how "their" world looks like...

Everything in the universe is matter at motion. But even photons has its own weight unmeasurable by any human technology yet. A change of energy from one form to another is just the transistion of motion from one matter to another. A living body is a body composed of moving particles govern by force according to how it was designed to be. It a single living body is a chain of moving matter within it and the only reason it die is when one set of links in the chain stops moving the way it has been governed according to the law of physics it was programmed to function. We can also assume that all matter are governed by some kind of director or programmer of matter "God".

When we are referring to a non-corporeal entity or lack of a better term, 'spirit', aren't we then hypothesizing that our brains neurons are not involved with consciousness? Aren't we still attaching the EVP to the spirit of what once was a physical person, but now without a physical body including brain? What exactly then is consciousness? Could it be that it is not a property of the brain, human or animal, but rather a fundamental property of matter itself, a form of energy that is technology oriented? Human neurons are similar to those of other animal species on this planet, but we have approximately twice the ratio of brain to body mass than the next highest creature (bottlenose dolphin). What can we say that our brains do for us that other organisms can accomplish without a brain by using primitive sensory organs (i.e. jelly fish, plankton, etc) that respond to external stimuli? The question then becomes: Does 'consciousness' come down then to including 'awareness', and if so, where does that come from?

Moonjoey K This is exactly why I think this theory works. If there is a spirit matter body in us while we are alive, then it may be part of the biological process that generates thought and therefore, that process would be able to continue when the non spirit body dies.

Very interesting points my good sir. Question... that feeling you feel when you are in the presence of something such as goosebumps, full body chills, ect.., I feel like any paranormal investigator has experienced this at some point and the first time some experience this it can be somewhat intimidating. Would this be us coming in contact with a strong spiritual energy presence that our bodies have not ever experienced before? I've been wondering this for some time now.

So check this out, (and I’m going to just apologize now for the ridiculous length of this), it does relate to the theory of spirits and energy, and it’s pretty far out there and requires an open mind, but it was something I kind of obsessed over for a long while... to a point where I have spoken on this in a book I’m writing called “Heavens of the Green.” So here we go... Now I’ve had some pretty insane spiritual experiences on airplanes before and I began to wonder after multiple flights and crazy things happening, is there something more to it??? Is it easier for a spirit to manifest or make connection the higher up in altitude we go? Again the question remained to haunt me, when I received a text from a close but very skeptical family member who had an INSANE experience (with photos to prove) on a flight from Phoenix to Detroit. Not to mention, My very first paranormal experience was on an airplane to Florida when I was just 5 years old, and I can remember it like it was yesterday. So again, I found myself asking, “What is it about flying that makes us so prone to these experiences during air travel?” One day I was watching the science channel and something kind of clicked. The show was based around the subject of our planet’s atmosphere. It was discussing the ionosphere, the ionized part of the earth’s upper atmosphere. It is ionized by solar radiation and is a constant source of solar and electromagnetic energy. We can physically see the effects of this electrical light show with visuals of the famous Northern Lights and so forth. Something instinctively tells me that NO spirits are Not just energy, However they still need energy to manifest, communicate, and manipulate their surroundings... and yes they are capable of getting energy here on our level but just in smaller increments. As we know, when we die that main energy source is gone, so IS it possible that spirits can go to these levels of our atmosphere to recharge and possibly thrive? Obviously we can’t fly in or around the ionosphere, and it’s still a pretty far stretch in height even from our modern commercial aircraft, regardless we are still that much closer to our upper atmosphere during air travel than we are with our feet on the ground. Another interesting fact about our ionosphere is that it also reflects back our radio and telecommunication waves. Is this why spirits can more easily manipulate and communicate through our radio scanning devices such as spirit boxes and SB 7s? Is it opening a direct line basically from their atmosphere to ours? Its also known that native cultures for many centuries have always believed that the northern lights to be somewhat of spiritual significance. So it was an interesting concept with a lot of cultural history, no matter how crazy it sounded! Oddly enough, I have also received evps stating that there are Green lights in Heaven. If this is a constant supply of ionized and electromagnetic energy, why wouldn’t they resort to a place where they can recharge and thrive? Did I just discover Heaven’s physical location? Put it on the map, I want my Nobel prize TODAY!! 😂 I’m officially accepting the title, “Erica Webb, Scientific Paranormal Theorist.” Lol Although the theory that our very own ionosphere is possibly a spiritual playground is pretty much damn near impossible to prove, It was still a very fun idea to do the research on anyhow! Apparently My train of thought is not a “train” at all, it is a space rocket! Lol!

Also I just want to say I believe you are 100% correct when you discussed the manifestation of a spirit being somewhat of a congenial process! That makes incredible sense! It really shined a very understandable light on a subject that is very difficult to put into words. I was able to actually visualize how this could occur. I’m extremely impressed Grant! I’ve heard it said that if there’s a spirit present, often getting touched feels like cobwebs. How does that perception or ability to manifest physically in that way go along with your thoughts here?

Julie Hallberg I’m saying that a spirit HAS to be made of matter to exist. If that material was fine enough to move undetected through our world, but also be able to consolidate enough to touch us. Be it as a hand or a cobweb sensation.
