Good evening, Asirnna.. This Shiva Kumar from Mysore.. Trust me, I was supposed to sell my existing Honda Jazz 2012 and upgrade to either a Baleno or a Fronx.. Yeah and that's the reason why I wish govt's tax slabs should be revised. The 1.2 turbo in Nexon doesn't give the completeness which is being discussed in this video. Considering the bad road conditions and people preferring the csuv/crossovers these small engines don't do justice to the car's heavy body. And ev's/hybrids in the csuv/crossovers segments are priced comparitively higher out of reach for middle class buyers.

hello Asir & team, very nice topic. Trust me, its a voice of many people like us. we hate sub4 mtr concept. Once a sedan lover, is always a sedan lover. I'm a Honda Civic 2007 Model owner and I still couldnt find a better replacement now. I'm gonna keep it as long as it goes. Already did FC once and not sure still how many FCs I'm ending up doing and I love to do.

You people are right, have been using Renault Scala rxz diesel for the last 5 years. Which is an outdated one but still it gives a comfortable ride on highways just like sailing a ship. Recently when I wanted to replace that car, but due to the budget concern i checked Kia sonet and did test drive a 1.5 turbo diesel variant, but I am totally disappointed with comfort, in pothole roads even small undulations can be felt inside the car. Shocks are so stiff. Rear seat comfort is a nightmare. To justify the price They added too many features (sun roof, etc.,) which I don't need. The reason for replacing my car is ground clearance, since I am looking for high ground clearance cars, now I am looking for used cars because again I have to consider my budget. Creta and seltos are my choices.

I feel about the S-Cross exactly as you spoke….the problem is the Maruti itself didn’t realise its potential and didn’t cascade how to project this car to their customer. I wanted to buy a Zeta model but the sales person kept pushing Delta model as it gave more commission for him. When I said that I want more features the salesperson asked me to buy the delta model and upgrade with accessories. I would have really missed that car but I have bought a Ecosport so ‘Saved’

Super sir .. actually this episode is a dedicated one performance car oriented peoples.. There are 4 cars missed Those sub 4 meters with good proper shape and performance Hyundai accent Suzuki esteem vxi And ford ikon .. Ford Fiesta Totally left out in discussion .. Those sold in volumes also I hold a seconds esteem since 2012 to till date actually bought for learning purpose but it settled almost for 12 years now I bought new Baleno sigma this month . But not have the heart to sell my esteem till date struggle to take decision ... The 1.3 litre pure pickup is unmatched. 😂😂 And the. Easy to drive at any situation.

Ofcourse, there are negatives in Sub4 metre cars. But the sub4m segment is the main reason for achieving current market numbers. Nowadays Sub4m segment cars are being sold in 7 lakhs to 18 lakhs. What if these do not exist? Not all the people can afford a Verna, ciaz, rapid, Creta, Seltos. Also I can agree with Asir bro that 1.2 NA Petrol Engine is sluggish in Venue and other cars.

There is a say " There is no replacement for displacement" My elevate's 1.5 4 cylinder ivtec will do 60kmph at 6th gear , which a small displacement turbos can't do It's the power delivery that differs, My take is the small turbos will be affected more by fuel regulations then the bigger engines These turbos needs fuel to be as pure as possible , Needs high octane fuel generally for less knocking It's largely dependent on the turbo to make power , if the turbo goes off the engine is gone , The chances of mechanically failure is high , Boost pressure, general engine build, can the engine withstand the abuse ? Definitely these small turbos cannot be driven aggressively like a bigger 1.5 or 2.0 So right now for a enthusiastic driver the answer is mid size cars and above Or he c segment sedans with the 1.5 160 lp Hyundais or the 140 dsg from the vws groups

Wonderful and it hit close to the heart. Was owning a Honda City 3rd generation AT from 2012. Purchased for around 11 lakhs. Today, nothing even upto 20 lakhs feels complete. Finally, after a lot of frustration, purchased a Fronx. The logic was that if nothing feels complete, why spend more - will spend less and get a car that is a compromise. Spot on podcast, bringing out the pain points of the real buyer of today. Keep up your good work.

The important reason is government, doesn't matter which party rules. It has always considered Indians as subclass citizens and made every citizen to believe that why do I need quality when u get it cheap. Due to this even if a high quality product manufacturer now focused only on market capturing by offering low quality and low cost product. Now citizens also not aiming for high quality product due to which even if we think of getting high quality by paying a premium we are nkt getting it.
