UPDATE (Nov 8th): Suppressors no longer deactivate the Ghost perk when firing. Now you will only ever appear on the radar while using Ghost + Suppressor if the enemy has an advanced UAV up.

surpressor delays the time you ping on the compass while UAV is up and the diamond on the compass doesn't pulse while you're firing

ikr. I would like 100% correct stats. and have them adjust accordingly to attachments in gunsmith. so every gun's range damage recoil hip fire rate of fire. all of these things would be in the stats.

The gunsmith wording is all messed up. I mean there are barrel attachments for some weapons that say they "bring the range to the max" (Glock 45 pistol) but then there would be another barrel that has a higher range stat bar.. like wtf? Also the Aug lightweight barrel slows mobility every way even though it says it does the opposite. Gunsmith is all messed up and confusing.

If u play kill confirmed, killing someone shows how far ur distance is from the tag, so technically this can be easier for ace to check ranges

For me, I’m running suppressors just for the audio benefit. I find I can hear enemy movements in close quarters better since the BOOM is flattened out.

Had anyone else noticed that if you run the weapon drop field upgrade, every time you pick up an attachment from the weapon drop, you get all the previous attachments the weapon drop has given you too. You can get an attachment in every slot if you use it enough. It seems pretty powerful but I never see anyone (but me) use it. To be fair it's a late unlock. Also you can pull the juggernaut Minigun out of it.

I feel like everytime i try to flank an enemy there’s always another enemy in a building peeking at the exact moment i walk by and shoots me with a clear line of sight. This game feels really frustrating to me, especially when you compare the ttk on my screen vs that on his screen.

No muzzle flash means you probably are adjusting your shots subconsciously, you dont lose sight of the target momentarily when you shoot (especially mid-long range)

Great video but one thing I think wasn’t mentioned that I would’ve liked to see is that the suppressors also act as muzzle flash hiders, giving you a clearer Sight picture while your firing and making it easier to track your target while shooting at them. apart from that nice job love your videos !

I actually can tell the difference(maybe not in heat of battle) LW: High frequency clicky, Tac: slightly lower boomy clicks, and mono as a further deepening of the boominess mind you it is Very subtle, but there is a difference. Listened on your vid over a iPhone SE at about 75% volume(biased to higher) over speakers. Supressors also have the added bonus of hiding muzzle flash, so it makes it easier to shoot while using iron sights.

The issues are: Spawns (picadilly as an example) maps just being so unimaginative and tailored to sitting in one position(Cave) Footsteps, dead silence, mini map, 725 shotgun, M4A1 over powered, callouts, SBMM, uneven teams in games, not being able to play with 10 mates on 10 v 10 dom I'm hoping a a few patches like they did with WW2 will save this game. At the moment it's a frustrating experience

In smaller modes suppressors are extremely important, especially in 1 life modes. I commonly find myself shooting at an enemy half the map away and they're looking around like an idiot because they have no idea where I am shooting from. Especially since the monolithic supp ADDS dmg range that makes it even deadlier. I find that if you dont use a suppressor people can flick and instantly contest you because the sound is so obvious from where you are shooting from, but from a mid to long range engagement people tend to turn towards your general direction but take an extra second or two to acquire you in their sights and by that time they're dead. It all is reliant on play style of course, I tend to play very sneaky deaky and use positioning.

I hope they do bring back the traditional mini map. Only because having 3 things to look at (when you're not camping) is extremely difficult (The Minimap, gameplay/ surroundings from peripheral/ and the compass. From my experience i've noticed a lot of players aren't even using the compass because it's a 3rd thing to look at and it's difficult. I feel like the only people that are using it are the campers in the corner, because they have less things to focus on when they are completely still. In my opinion i feel like the compass was left there only because devs didn't have time to revert it or change it ( because of other issues or bc they were behind on work) I only say that because in the original state of game, the beta they had removed the minimap completely but it obviously didn't work out. The compass was probably added because they had no more minimap, but with the minmap back it's useless and a pointless way to track shooters.

patch note today was apparently a bug that suppressors gunfire would reveal you on UAV's when ghost was equipped. It has been fixed now that you won't show up now

Ax-50 with a monolithic suppressor is about the only gun I would actually use with a suppressor. Keeps the shots quiet, and (at least it feels like it to me) eliminates those 2 shot kills almost entirely, bar shooting someone in the foot

Please do a video on attachment combo trade offs, I think it would be really informative. For example, if I equip this stock with plus recoil control and minus ads time with this barrel that has the opposite, what my net gain and loss would be. I feel like some combos would provide a great balance while others would effectively make your gun worse than using any attachments at all. Keep up the good work enlightening us noobs

Well i think the supressor helps with sound, not as in being a stealthy lone wolf but as in the heat of the fight where the enemy is firing and your allies are firing, the enemy will be way less likely to hear or at least to pinpoint your direction by the sound alone. There is not a pure stealth benefit to them but a tactical deception benefit, where the enemy has to actually spot you as a person, remember your not only the heck of a lot quieter compared to your allies, but you also have no muzzle flash wich especially helps in draker corners to not attract atention while still helping your team by actively engaging.

@@cuckheadmcgee8490 in team death Match and other game modes (not all) you can't see your deaths mid game, but they have released a watch you can buy in a pack to keep track of your deaths. In other game modes like SnD they don't tell you how many bombs you've planted etc.

I have largely not experienced silencers doing anything in the current build. I find that I rely a LOT more on sounds given how dang loud footsteps are right now and silencers really aren't that quiet to make me not know where someone who is shooting is. Without gunshots regularly making you show up on the mini map I just haven't seen much value in it as of right now. They probably should either nerf the normal footstep audio distance / loudness or buff dead silence again by increasing duration, decreasing cool down, or making it a perk itself.

I only use them on LMGs. If they make people show up on the mini map again then I'll probably use them on more weapons. I'll be happy if they do that since it can be ridiculously frustrating right now with the feeling of having a really hard time figuring out where the hell people are and then dying super fast due to the low ttk in this game. People showing up on the map when they shoot will help a lot.

Theres been plenty of times where I can use dead silence and a supressor to flank the enemy team and just farm up kills as they run out of spawn because they cant really locate the direction I'm shooting from, and I move around catching them off guard every time. Then dead silence resets after every kill.. this really isnt possible when you dont use a supressor to mask the direction of your shots.. in my opinion, in this game supressors are a must and absolutely make up the meta. Especially the supressor that increases range. This mechanic is extremely valuable, the supressor isnt meant to completely hide the noise of shots, but rather make it really difficult to determine the direction the shots are coming from. This is just my humble opinion though, I love the diversity this game gave us with weapon customization

I think a big part of it man is just the sound. Because I have really good head phones and find people soooo easy because of the sound of the gun and steps. It takes a while to be noticed in a groom if people and you can get like 2 to 3 kills easy as they look for that sound.

Ok so I used to be a 40-50 kill a game 2-2.5 KD type of player in almost all CODs before this new modern warfare. I know there is camping and we are all adjusting play styles, but it seems like I'm just dying from a couple shots and when I shoot someone it takes half a clip. Or I'll be dead before I'm even able to ADS. I am on PS4 I've used the M4 the mp5 even the 725 shotgun. I am currently at a 1.13 KDR. On PS4 what settings are your running? And what's your network settings like? I have COMCAST as an ISP usually downloads 120-160 Mbps Hardline Like 6 upload (if it matters)... Don't know ping but I'm always under >25 when searching. Last I looked it was below 30. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? I am barely getting fully ADS'd before dying.

You are not alone dude. Im not a pro, but in most cods i end up being atleasst in the top3 every game. In this modern warfare i might be lucky if im getting 1st 2 times in a whole night of playing. Spawns sucks, mini map sucks, shouting sucks. And like you said, in every cod you get a chance to avoid being killed by just peeking fast for example. In this cod a peek of 0.5 second is already a high risk of getting rekt by 2 bullets. 😑

Great vid Ace. However, no point in the enemy vise versa using suppressors or ghost anyways because the footsteps are too loud. The enemy can hear you halfway across the map and pinpoint your location. Make ghost like bo2 and dead silence a perk or nerf heavily the footsteps to better sneak up on campers and have a rushing playstyle. The two biggest issues resulting in a camping playstyle are the footsteps and map design, that's why alot of games are not reaching the limit, nobody wants to move around because you get punished for it.

You were incorrect regarding the suppressed rounds appearing on the map with a UAV. An enemy UAV doesn’t make you appear as long as you are shooting, it makes your player visible when it sweeps the map. You can shoot in between sweeps and you won’t appear on either. Just want to clarify that as it was a bit confusing

Monolithic superiors sound a lot different now, it is barely sound suppressed on the mp5. Basically the only benefit is damage increase because sound isn’t reduced hardly at all vs. the normal barrel.

What about the 4th barrel. The SOCOM one. It’s the best and it frees a slot up to use. Stopping power is a must for a suppressed gun. So just unlock stopping poker and your good the first few bullets will end them. Head shot one shot. With stopping power without it takes at least 5 to 8 hits for body. 3 for head.

Easy fix for game. 1. Old mini map 2. Old silencer properties 3. Get rid of callouts 4. Dead silence as perk 5. Reduce footstep noise 6. Honestly I think reduce overall sound. Some of the explosions and airplanes are too damn loud. I think that’s why they increased footstep audio to begin with. Suppressors also remove muzzle flash and tracers, and iirc correctly remove the death icon from their teammates.

From my personal experience having a suppressor has helped me run and gun, once I get behind a group and kill the first one it takes longer for the rest of the group to turn to me when I have a suppressor than without

Slows down by 1 frame at what FPS? it's quite important, and are all of your timings done by frame counting. For anyone that blurts out "he is using a PS4 or Xbox, so it must be 60FPS" The pursuit of accuracy means that assumption cannot be made without verification.

im fine with how the Suppressors are now tbh. as with the games' player base being campy as is, those who camp with suppressors, cant camp as hard. Its like in AW with the parobolic mic. i loved that attachment due to it being a counter to suppressors as you had to give up an equipment slot for that. In this game you have its a streak slot, and it pings last location so its not overtly broken.

For those who are upset that Ace did not include the oil can, the oil can actually is the same thing as the mono suppressor. The only difference is that it blocks your iron sights and looks really funny on your gun.

I feel that they added the compass as a way to deter people from just stairing at the mini-map for enemies so that way it makes it more of a challenge to find your enemies. 'Cuz what would the point then be of the compass if they have the "old-school" mini-map come back where you'll pop up as a dot using any sorta' unsuppressed weapon & not come up using any sorta' suppressed weapon? Then there'd just be do many damn red dots all in your face because the compass is doing that exact feature of the "old-school" mini-map. Now what is SUPER STUPID is when enemy has a UAV up, even shootin' a surppressed weapon while Ghost is one of your perks, you'll still pop up on mini-map for a short period of time. They needa' fix that, but then again if ya' think about it, everyone will then use Ghost & a suppressor on their weapon which would get old & tirering then. One thing that a suppressor also does in real life is make it harder for the enemy to pinpoint exactly where your location is at by disrupting the sound because really even w/ a suppressor on something like an AR-15 in 5.56x45, it's still LOUD AS HELL. That I do notice in this game a lot more than in previous games whereas in previous games it would just make you a lot quieter but here that ain't the case, it's actually kinda' loud (especially w/ good & solid headset) but it's definitely disrupted. Idk what to honestly say as far as what they should do to fix all this crap, I really feel that this is just an unfinished game that they released & it's super sad, they really rushed it because none of the guns besides a few have their real names & that's just retarded. The HDR sniper rifle or whatever it's called that shoots the 12.7x105 (which is Russia's equivalent to our .50Cal) is NOT a real gun whatsoever. They could've EASILY added in many other good sniper rifles that are very much modern like the Arctic Warfare sniper rifle, M40A5 (the Rem700 is the same thing as a M40A5, just the Rem700 has a traditional stock & the M40A5 has a tactical sniper stock, so no need to add that like how they did in CoD4), the SV98, etc., etc. Yet they only have 3....... Like whatbthe Hell were they thinking....??? Especially w/ a game mode like the new Ground War, where the maps are HUGE AS HELL & YOU CAN SNIPE SUPER EASILY, yet they only gonna' add 3 snipers & 3 "DMR's" (the Kar98k is not a DMR/Marksman Rifle, nor is the .45-70 Lever-Action....... The only one is the Dragunov, they should've picked the SR-25, the M110, the modern version of the PSG-1, etc., etc.), it's super freaking upsetting honestly bein' a gun guy like I am 'cuz they got this game soooooo screwed up to Hell & back.........

Monolithic Suppresor adds bulet velocity and I think it's important in warzone but multiplayer it's not mandatory to run suppresor barrel is good attachment...

Seeing as how Dead Silence is not a permanent perk, and suppressors aren't quite what they were, I'll stop using them for now. I haven't noticed and significant changes yet but now I'll have to go back and pay attention

To me it begs the even bigger question: WTF is the point of running ghost if a UAV defeats it when you fire, suppressed or not? As you mentioned, I think you're just better off using an upgrade that doesn't cripple your range or damage rates.

lol CoD stating that dmg drops off at 50 meters for assault rifles. Also if the suppressors get a buff in the "Stealth" department, they should be more detrimental to the overall stats of the firearm, aka things like the suppressor overheating and you get baffle strikes.

I disagree with saying they are worthless. When I snipe, the radar is useless to me with such a small range. So if i'm on a building or hill i just use the red diamonds and look in that area; windows or door ways.They are also a good indicator for range. Also its alot more difficult to locate suppressor fire. But also the red diamonds can be overwhelming.
