@@theTang2007 the issue to me is the high draft picks busting. He has a knack for later round finds but our top 1-2 picks haven’t panned out to their ceiling or expectations. FAU did not contribute last year at all. Normally first rounders are expected to contribute to the team somewhat (given certain positions). Later round players contributed day 1. Bolton, Humphrey, Duffey, Smith, etc. I like beach but it sucks we passed up on Jonathon taylor for ceh and Pickens for sky moore AND Metkalf for Hardman. I could go on…

@jacobtyler8482 you can nitpick every teams draft, every year. There will ALWAYS be the one that got away. Pickens attitude is why he wasn't a Chief. Chiefs are ok with Red Flags is they have a good attitude and work ethic. The only reason, I believe, we even used our 1st round pick for FAU was because Veach wasn't allowed to trade out of the 1st. But we definitely don't have enough data to say he's a bust. I'm 100% OK to letting a player develop for a year if it pays off. We will find out. But you can't sit there and say he has just as many hits as misses. If you limit it to just the 1st and 2nd round, maybe but that's just fudging the numbers to make tou right.

Longtime Chiefs fan here. I’m optimistic as well, but at heart I’ve always been pessimistic about this team (40 years of Chiefs football will do that to you). I usually don’t expect them to win & am always pleasantly surprised when they do. I will say that the receiving corps looks improved this year. Hopefully they can get into the top 3-4 in scoring & manage to stay in the top 5 defensively. If they can do that, they should have a fighting chance for the threepeat.

I’m sticking with my “I expect to be disappointed” approach to every game. It got us another SB win last season. Why change it if it works? You just have to channel those old days of Steve DeBerg, Steve Bono, Elvis Grbac, Matt Cassel, Mike Livingston, and Todd Blackledge. No way you expect to win 3 in a row if you do that.

Andy Reid and Steve Spagnuolo are two of the best at what they do and Mahomes is just the QB that keeps on making things happen without ever getting injured. We just got done with the Brady Patriots era. We are now in the Mahomes and Chiefs era. Whether people wanna except it or not thats just the reality. They are the team to beat. I feel the only team that can take them out in the AFC in the playoffs is Burrow and the Bengals if Healthy. They have done already and nearly did it twice back in the 2023 AFC Championship game.

One thing you talking heads leave out about last years is the six teams that beat them had more days off before they beat the Chiefs. 3 of the losses came against teams who had a bye week. Those teams recovered from the past games. Everyone was fresh. Coaches and players watched a lot more film. The other losses were also against teams a couple extra games of PT and film study. This year the Chiefs have the extra days off. The only team who has a bye before their game is Carolina. But the Chiefs don't get the full bye week advantage before the 49er's. The 49er's play on Thursday giving them 10 days to the Chiefs 14. I believe the Chiefs will earn the 1st seat week 15th. This will allow the bench to play Christmas day and also week 17th. Two light games will freshen the key players and allow PT to take hold. Then a bye week followed by home payoff games against teams that fought hard those last 3 week to get a chance to play in Arrowhead. I think a 3 peat is very likely. They were a very young team two years ago. When has a Superbowl winner have 10 rookies on their roster. Those player are in year 3. Much better player than the last two years. How about those Chiefs!

Said so well. The chiefs have no competition. During the regular season sure they can be beat a few times here and there. Definitely gonna be a dogfight, but they will win in the playoffs and they will win the Division for 10 straight seasons 🎉

Defense will be top 5. Offensive line is one of the best in football even with the "LT question" because Wanya Morris when he came in for Smith played just as well as Smith and if Kingsley beats him out then thats an upgrade. WR room go 10x better. I think they end up with two 1,000 yard WRs this year with Rice and Brown if both stay Healthy. Worthy will end up with 400-600 yards on top of it and Kelce will have a 1,000 yard season. Pacheco will probably have a 1,000 yard season and if he doesnt it's because of injury or the Chiefs are air raiding all over oppoaing defenses and he wont have much of a chance.

As a KC fan, I would sure like to see Mahomes dominate in games. I never understood why Elway got credit for 4th qtr comebacks. If you are so great, don’t fall behind. Hopefully in one of these SB’s KC can dominate and not be down 10.

main defensive question is who the #2 outside corner is gonna be now that sneeds gone. trent mcduffie is #1 and they have chamarri conner is the slot corner. the #2 outside spot is a battle between josh Williams, jaylen watson, and nazeeh johnson. for lt, I think Morris will start for maybe half the season or more while suamataia develops, or they'll split reps

If teams actually covered Kelce, they might have a chance. And chefs have weakness on the O_line, they might be in trouble when going for the biscuit. Kelce is lucky Ray Lewis is retired. But Mahomes is the best thing since Barry Sanders IMO. I want the LIONS to win one. I’m a masshole but I want to see the LIONS win while we rebuild.

Love me some Ray Lewis, but Kelce would cook Ray and I'm talking about Ray in his Prime too. Now Troy Polamalu, or Ronnie Lott? That might be a little different. Very physical safeties who had the athleticism to play with the larger guys and hold their own. Ray would be on skates covering Kelce. Not a Chiefs fan either by the way....
