They could always flip a couple of players at the bottom end of the line-up, depending on what's developing in Abbotsford, perhaps obtain a late round pick or two, which in turn could be packaged as trading capital. There might be a way of squeezing in a mobile defenceman of some sort, at some point during the season. They would probably do well to leave some cap room.

BTW, a team not named "Spain" has scored 10 goals in 4 matches, allowed 2, one of which was a flukey own-goal. Despite this, I will still concede Spain the advantage in Friday's game of the tournament. I'm still not convinced about Switzerland, even though form would suggest an edge. England has the skill to survive a close match and overcome bad coaching.

Except MYers is NOW clearly a top 4 D Blake NOT a depth D.. HW do they improve their D Myers rates out to a 6 D. The number one complaint by the coach himself was a lack of shot generation! That comes from the Defense! They did NOT improve this. It is a epic Fail. There lack of puck moving D after Hughes is a HUGE black hole and most media are ignoring it!

They are a team with ONLY 2 Top 4 D. #FACT media is ignoring this. It is a HUGE flaw and they have few avenues to correct this. IT is the CAUSE of low shot generation and scoring!!!Not addressing it was a huge miss. Should have not resigned Myers or the edm. Blake is totally wrong. The number one complaint in last year's playoffs was the Canucks lack of shot generation and scoring! Rick Said exactly this,.
