@Ray MASSIH No it didn't. The show had low ratings, very few people heard it. CBS didn't even broadcast it in many rural regions opting for other programing. Nobody thought it was real, at least there are no first hand accounts of anyone thinking it was real. There were people who said they were scared. People get scared in horror movies, it does not mean they thought it was real. The newspaper industry essentially made it up to show it's advertisers, and regulators, that radio management was irresponsible and not to be trusted with anything serious like their main product, the news. People were very accustomed to fictional programs on the radio at the time. It's nice to imagine some rube out in the sticks running out of his house in fear of aliens, but it's bullshit.

Read a book to borrow someone else's brain to think for you, is one way to go through life. Or you can use you own brain to realize that, 1/6th gravity does not make your arms and legs move in slow-mo. nothing in physics will explain why when you double the moonwalk's videotape speed, that their arms will now be moving normal and not like a 1920s movie blurry fast speed, cuz you just doubled the speed. but yet doubling the speed only makes you realizes their arms were moving slow slow-mo for no reason.

_"No flags were ever there"_ In the 1970's this was probably true. Since then it has become quite apparent that the various contractors that make up the MIC, have created some extremely sophisticated weapons and technologies. I mean we all watched clear evidence of 50th Space Wing (USAF) using a low earth orbit platform to dispose of millions of tons of gypsum, steel, office furniture, bathrooms, people and ... aeroplane wrecks. But officially this technology still _doesn't exist_ . Likewise the 1980's saw literally hundreds of reports of giant triangular anti gravity stealth vehicles in NATO countries, in the run up to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the beginning of Perestroyka. But apparently all the policemen and airforce pilots who saw them were all on crack or something, because officially this technology _doesn't exist_ . Ronald Reagan started shooting his mouth off about dangerous forces offworld and people wondered if he was also on crack, or maybe just drunk. Turns out he'd already pushed the SDI program through without any form of oversight and from the moment he realised what he had done, the rogue elephant in the room was (and still is) directly over everyone's head. Anyway, the point is that there are probably many flags on the lunar surface and they're exclusively military / private contractor related. That rubbish they showed to the public in 1969 starring Neil Actor and Buzz A-hole was a half cocked joke. The amount of technical inconsistencies in their b-movie script are in their hundreds. Look at the size of the batteries on the Lunar Rover and then look at the power requirement of a Satellite broadcast unit. One is a 21st century truck sized setup, the other is a silver pram with some giant watch batteries wrapped in a silver blanket......

I'm calling bs unless someone can explain this to me. how is it that we discovered Kepler-452b which is 8,230,075,522,457,050 miles away but we can't see if the flags are on the moon which is about 240,000 miles away..? doesn't seem reasonable
@diogod1268 жыл бұрын
Because they dont reflect enough light from sun to be captured by telescopes, and they are just like 6ft tall
@TheShadowSuave8 жыл бұрын
+DioGo how does that make sense? the moon gets fully lit . no matter how small those things are if we can see 1400 light years away we should be able to see a flag on the moon . like I said not only did we find a planet 1400 light years away but we we're able to establish that life is sustainable and water exists on it. saying not enough light emits off a flag pole only 250,000 miles away doesn't seem reasonable.
@-TK-8 жыл бұрын
+Shadow Suave can you see the cells on a leaf with a telescope?
@ljdean19568 жыл бұрын
+Shadow Suave :1,400 Ly is a very long distance and even planets cannot be seen as discs at this distance, even with the Hubble. The Hubble directly imaged a planet around Fomalhaut b which is just 25 ly distant and all it saw was a couple of pixels. What Kepler is detecting is the dimming of starlight using a photometer, not an optical telescope. It sees transiting planets as starlight dimming, not entire planetary discs. The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) image some of the artifacts on the moon from 15 miles up. The flags stand vertically so they'd be very difficult to see since you'd be looking straight down on them. If Kepler 452b were where the moon is, telescopes would see it in great detail but not enough resolution to see flag sized objects. Instead of calling BS on something your demonstrating you may not understand, why not search the web on telescopes and their capabilities and limitations?

Telescopes can see bright objects very far away without resolving them. They show in a single pixel. The distance at which a telescope can resolve an object depends on the distance to the object AND its size. If the size-to-distance ratio is too small, the scope cannot see it, and that's the case for the Apollo objects seen from earth. They ARE seen quite nicely with telescopes in lunar orbit on LRO, which gives 1/2 m resolution or better.

While impressive feat of resolution, no Apollo spacecraft comes anywhere near that size. Every piece of man-made hardware is below the space telescope’s resolution limit. The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), flying only 31 miles high above the moon’s surface, it snapped a set of newly-released photos of the Apollo landing sites that plainly show the U.S. flags planted by the astronauts.
