In almost any other case i would disagree that giving an op more of their is useless, but this time it really doesn't make sense to try it. I think the better change would be giving silent step back to nook and perhaps making defenders go blind like a flashbang when they run through a Sens to make the gadget have more impact when used.

Fuck the silent step that’s broken on offense… the ability shouldn’t alert Kapkans and fenrir traps. But should still go off for frost, thorn, and lesion.

they tested basically that ages ago, but instead of JUST kapkan, it was ALL proximity based gadgets like thorns, banshee, vibe alarms, metal detectors, etc, on top of being invisible on cameras

Honestly, I really don’t understand why she isn’t immune to proximity sensors when her gadget is literally just to do that. Reminder: Vigil is immune to jackal tracks and Deathmark and unlike Nokk, he doesn’t have to move in order to push the enemy. Nokk is objectively worse than vigil in literally every way and she’s the attacker. The only things she counters are Echo and Valkyrie and she only counters them for herself. Brava, IQ, twitch, Dokkaebi; basically any operator that denies the enemy intel is better than Nokk in virtually any scenario.

@@Max-dv1kq Oh, but she doesn’t though. Because the only situations where the maestros would matter, i/e when they’re planting, she shows up as the glitchy mass of static. Or if you’re waiting to see if she pushes, the second she’s within the cam’s range you get the vigil lines on the bottom of the screen telling you she’s there. The only reason she counters echo and valk is because those are A: much harder to find and B: she prevents the C4/wallbang. Otherwise, the main point of the cams and drones, which is finding where the enemy is, she doesn’t actually counter because of the bullsh*t warning system they added telling you she’s there anyways. Also, you can just punch the maestros or hit them with a gonne 6.

Nokk should be able to jam abilities such as Kapkan, melusi, Aruni, thorn, pulse, fenrir when she walks thru them. They should decrease it back to 20 sec tho if they did that

they tested this exact thing ages ago, but people for some reason would have much rather kept the silent step over a significantly more useful gadget, so they scrapped it and left the silent step, until it was taken away, so now they're just doing fuck all.

Swap the FMG-9 with Fenrir's MP7 and return her silent step. And on the topic of Fenrir, instead of removing a code and making all of his his gadgets non-bulletproof, Give him the FMG-9, remove the lingering effect his gadget has, and possibly make his gadgets non-bulletproof. Idk if that'll be too much.

ill rather have nokk bypass traps and gadgets than camera. Let her pass through kapkan/ela/fenrir traps. Maybe let her be invisible to normal defender cams but visible in echo/maestro cameras. That makes her much better 'stealth' operator

For these kind of changes is why the game is even more defender-sided. As an attacker you don't have so many options. At least they should make playable the less picked ops, not for the magnified sight but the actual skill and ability.

No, Thats an extra Sight Line that Sens gets to block off or gets blocked off more times, adding an additional gadget is never useless, same with Nokk so long as the cool down doesnt extend its a fine change but it wont be enough

So Sens gets the equivalent of an additional glorified smoke grenade that is worse than standard smoke grenades and Nokk gets more time for her gadget to do literally nothing. Ok seriously, what does Nokk’s gadget actually do that a suppressor can’t? It makes it so cameras can’t see her, hooray. They still know you’re there because for some f***ing reason they still have the vigil lines at the bottom of the screen showing you she’s on the screen just not where on the screen. Her gadget doesn’t disable cameras, it doesn’t stop proximity sensors or gadgets, and it doesn’t stop traps or pings. It actually is a worse version of Vigil’s gadget, only he actually gets to sit still and hold angles while she has to push to be useful. A good eye and a silencer will do more than her gadget, and any counter intel operator from Dokkaebi to IQ will do more to help the team. Heck, Brava can not only deny them the same intel for everyone on your team, but turn that intel to your use. So tell me, what exactly does an additional 10 seconds of being useless accomplish?

The change to sens is not gonna make people play them. Make their gun OP and give them the SMG-11 with idk nades. Ppl will play sens for a while and use their ability here and there then nerf their main and less people will play them. But then at least the community will know somewhat how to use sens.

What kind of suggestion is that? Why play in to the braindead meta? The idea for his gadget is to remove lines of sight, so buffs should help accomplish that more effectively than he currently does. One immediate idea that comes to my mind would be to make defenders go temporarily blind when walking through a Sens wall. This would support the idea of the gadget unlike just trying to get people to pick him for the guns.

@nyxfred I always played grid, but the changes that impacted me the most were the additional Trax and the addition of smoke grenades, making her perfect for taking and holding parts of sight or to get the plant down really effectively. These two changes were in the same patch I believe, and they happened a good while ago. Before the lmg meta happened. No idea what gun buff your talking about, but both her primaries have always been regarded as good and the main reason I heard people say they didn't pick her was because she is slow and has a bigger hit box.

@YuhMotha also, how is removing lines of sight situational for attacking in this game? The reason for sens being bad is not because his ability doesn't do anything, it's because you can accomplish the exact same thing with a secondary gadget, Which in turn, frees up your primary gadget spot. Both sens and nook are good ideas for an ability. It's just that they need to do more than what the initial idea had in mind, or at least do it better, like yings ability. If I were ubi, I would try what I previously suggested for Nook. And for sens, I would make his wall blind defenders for a few seconds if they walk through the wall. This allows you to place the wall further away from where you are and closer to the defenders. Now they have to get lucky by spraying blindly, or they can risk running through to get the line of sight back, at the expense of their sight for a few seconds. I'm sure it isn't a perfect fix, but probably better than what they did for this patch.
