It's a good point you bring up. DCE is a hell of a player but if these players are being compared by how many premierships and finals they make then DCE should be at the top of their list in the video. Manly won it in his debut season, correct? Nothing since yet never cops a spray. Hell of a player like I said but he should be in these conversations more often than not. And he never is.

That kid has been a monumental disappointment. When I first heard about him Alfie langer was saying he was the broncos next halfback before he’d even played under 20s. I then saw him and he had the most developed kicking game I’d ever seen from a 17 year old. His decision making was terrific. He looked every bit the next Andrew johns at best or Ricky Stuart at worst (both absolutely legendary 7s) then nothing. When he signed his $1,000,000 I said at the time he wil regret it because he will have a lot more pressure on him and he will confuse being rewarded for potential for being paid what he’s worth. Well apparently his worst was an inconsistent Jason Taylor not Ricky Stuart at all.

All the players deserve more money. The game needs more sponsorship more people coming to games and higher paid players to keep our talent from going overseas or to other codes. Support actual NRL journalism EG: bloke in a bar, yktr, matty johns show, Brett finch etc.. *With enough capital we could eventualy expand to western Australia south Australia Northern Territory Tassie etc.. Set up indigenous sports academies across outback aus Increase scouts and recruitment in the pacific Tonga Fiji etc.. would be grouse. LESSS GO!🤙

Milford is a bit like Blake Austin. The fancy plays, dummies, chips and chases look world beating against terrible opposition but the NRL requires a more responsible brand of footy. I guess the main question is, can Milford evolve his game like Benji to still be dangerous in broken play but add the element of game management and patience or does he go to the Super League as is and tear apart the weaker brand of footy?

All those players are earning more than Moses and they are bottom 8 most likely even bottom 4 teams this year and they’re trying to say Moses isn’t worth his pay. Okay. Every team has enough talent in them to be good enough to play finals but it’s all about how well the team knows each other and get along, how well they gel is the key to success. Like on paper the Titans should have won against the warriors but because there’s so many new players and they haven’t gelled they lost.

Hunt has been great so far this year and was really good at hooker last year. He was going through a dodgy patch in form but he looks the best he has in a long time. Could 100% drag the dragons into the top 8 if they all step up. Will be tough without Cam there but McCulloughs combo with hunt is prob the next best thing. I wouldn't lose hope. Hunt is still one of the better halves in the NRL, sure, he isn't as good as DCE or Cleary but he ain't that much worse. Even on this list, the only player arguably better than him is maybe Moses an it's not by much. Norman is overpaid tho

I don't think it's Hunts fault tho. Like, player for player the dragons are probably as good as any other team in the comp, something just doesn't gel properly. You hear it a lot when people talk about Smith, he makes the team BETTER than the sum of their individual parts. With the salary cap the teams that get the most out of the players will generally be the teams that succeed. Like Hughes an Blake green on their own are average af.. But put in that Storm team they look like match winners. You could say the same about Kyle flanagan last year. Hunt would look pretty impressive in that Roosters team too. Anyway, idk. I think the dragons are missing something an until that gets fixed they'll be way too reliant on the form of players like Hunt an McCullough.

Milfords career was ruined by the Broncos shifting him into the halves. I dont blame him for not caring anymore. He was one of the most talented FB's forced into an average (overpaid) halfback. His futures already paid for, his injuries ruined his enjoyment and he's been forced into playing his career out of position. It's too late for him to go back to being a FB so this is what he's been left with.

6's usually take the ball as a second reciever and are more darting with good passing whilst 7 is a pivotal play-calling role that has safe hands and decides on the options when they receive the ball, usually first off the scrum - i'd say, but teams play different here and there

At the end of the day these guys are paid to be entertainers, no different to american football and basketball.. The game is at a point where players can demand whatever they see fit to their worth. Players have no loyalty and clubs alike, it is all numbers now. Whether a player lives up to the values put on their heads is another conversation but at the end of the day they are no longer just football players they are entertainers. Media also plays a massive part in building players up to be something they aren't, securing them big pay cheques then procede to tear them down when they don't live up to the materialistic hype created.

Last week forwards were in back play knackered after 20 mins...unlimited interchange is needed. Lift the salary cap, at least the brown bags wouldn't be needed and players would stay loyal to clubs. Clubs could also retain juniors. Look at the NFL, phenomenonal in that regard.

Ben Hunt started this overpaying garbage. I remember when he went there and the dragons had a 12-12 season. The dragons fans roasted him, and his wife came to his defence saying they should leave him alone because the dragons went 12-12 the year previous so it’s not his fault. Well all she proved was that he $1,000,000 and did nothing. He wasn’t worth it at all. Not 1 red cent. @@mickjslavin2109 nah at the time DCE was the Australian halfback in waiting. Ben hunt had an amazing 2015, but wasn’t worth Jonathon Thurston money. No where near it. With DCE it was like he got to much but you could understand it. With Ben hunt it was a case of stgeorge were so desperate to attract anyone there that they paid $300,000 to much for a good player.

@@troystaunton254 disagree with you. DCE got his contract in 2015, Hunt was offered his in 2017. In my books Evans was first. They both haven’t lived up to the amount on their contracts.

First off i dont think NRL players and clubs dont make enough .based on my opinion irs the best tv game in the world i get the world does not know what NRL is .so my opinions r based on value for money on and off field and success no 1 daley cherry evens ..follwed by the rest of the leagues no 7 .I would have keary at bottom make him most value for money but first yr at 7 so most value for money no 7 is Adam Reynolds .it's best way I can answer that question. I’m part of the white society and think Mitchell is improving every game as a fullback. Big strong and powerful with the instincts to boot. I think he’s on over $800,00 as well as third party. He’s in the top three fullbacks, love his attitude at South Sydney
