My money says the Astros traded Tucker to save $$, and get younger and more sustainable - they probably didn't want to take Castellanos contract, and the Phillies didn't want to eat enough of it. As far as Alec Bohm - other teams probably see the same holes in his game that the Phillies see.

People are going to pretend they always wanted to keep Bohm when he’s back in the All-Star game next summer

I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. Always appreciate you and the content.

Maybe Bohm wasn't the issue with the Tucker trade, it could have been the 2 years at 20 million per year left on Casty's contract that was the biggest detriment to getting a deal done

Nick Castellanos' contract is far, far under water (by $35 million, according to Baseball Trade Values). The Phillies' offer of Castellanos and Alec Bohm fell far short of the Cubs' offer for Kyle Tucker.

I just want to say for the last two seasons, The Phillies good or bad, really made me a fan, I enjoyed them and the way they had each others back, I tried to never miss their games, I watched deeply, paid attention when they were playing in pain and they got frustrated, they always tried but besides having everybody on their backs, when they didnt ask for the injury or problems, or mean to mess up, and they all had mistakes at times, their only human Bohm took alot of heat, you could tell he was disappointed when his problems started!!! I probably won't watch if trades are made, besides Bohm, I heard Castello is on the list couldn't believe they were considering getting rid of him, he really holds his owe, Stott and Marsh are two more that really try for their team!!! I would like the players to know how I loved to watch them ,they made me excited and really enjoyed the game, thank you to them!!!

The reports were that they offered Miller and Crawford in separate trade. Not together

It seems to me, the easiest thing to do is move Bryce back to the outfield, move Bohm to 1B, and get a third baseman. Yes, Bryce was good defensively at first, but loosing that defense won’t hold you back from a championship. Bohm also has size, that’s good for a first baseman. An outfield of Bryce and Nick is not bad offensively. I don’t know why the Phillies didn’t go after Tyler O’Neil for an outfield spot, as he signed a 3 year deal. So somebody at third, maybe a center fielder, and bull pen help are the needs. We need more consistent, better batting average hitters, like Bohm. Good managing can solve Bohm’s attitude/pressure issues. Some player leadership can help Bohm mature or deal with the pressures.

Too risky to move Bryce back to the outfield

Alec Bohm is a terrible 1st baseman both defensively and offensively. No 3rd baseman out there that makes the team better if you wanna go your route you woud move Bryce to OF and sign a 1st baseman. If youre not adding offense theres no point in adding because the glove does not raise our championship bar.

I do believe the Phillies will end up with Luis Robert. I think it could be a good get for the Phillies

I think a lot of people are undervaluing the haul the Astros got from the Cubs. It wasnt a fleece by any means and a lot of analysts actually think the Cubs may have given slightly too much for just a single year of Tucker. Also i think morr importantly Castellanos costs too much for them to take IMO. They offloaded about $10,000,000, which they were desperate to do

We love to keep him but only if he can handle the pressure playing in Philadelphia.

Lol THEY can't get shit for him 😂 that's why they tried to say that they were not trading him...teams really don't want BOHEM or ROJAS OR MARSH OR Tijuana Walker
@ElephantInTheMfRoom4 күн бұрын
teams definitely want marsh I dunno wtf youre talking about lmao its pretty clear you don't understand player values because Bohm has value too just not as much as the Phillies are asking but theyre only asking that to set an unrealistic bar that teams won't get to because they don't want to trade Bohm they want him to grow up

@ElephantInTheMfRoom yeah keep telling yourself that lol MARSH 🤣🤨🤣... just stop! ... you should quit your job at McDonald's and do standup comedy! Maybe you can move out of your mom's basement 😎🖕🤣

Do they want to move him?
@mil2k114 күн бұрын
Why would Houston want Castellanos? They moved Tucker to free up money to re-sign Bregman. Tucker will make less than Nick next season. I question the legitimacy of that offer.

Starting with the Phillies over rated lousy. GM. Dave D. Stinks. No one wants. Bohm. Castellonis ranger. Marsh or these so called. Minor Leaguers the team is older and just not that good starting with the. GM
@ElephantInTheMfRoom4 күн бұрын
They want our prospects we just don't wanna trade them for cents on the dollar lmao John Middleton remembers the 2010s and what happens when a run comes to an end and you have no prospects...if the Phillies keep building the farm correctly might not ever have to rebuild and go through 10 years of no playoffs.

So if I can not move minor Leaguers. No one wants anyone on your starting 9. Then buy one or two free agents. I have no choice
