El Jefe. Thank you for your ever-precise reviews! Honestly. Could you please help me make a choice here? Assuming the Skullcandy Crusher ANC2's bass was a 100/100 rating, what would you rate the bass off the Sony Ult Wear? I'm asking because the Ults are going for £149 which is the same as what the Skullcandy Crusher ANC2s are going for now. I'm a bass lover but I'm torn between both headphones even though I know the Skullcandy has more bass. I think the Sony has more 'other stuff' that makes it a more complete purchase. So I'm confused and feel your rating would help me choose.

Simple hack, use two apps. Sony app EQ: All sliders to 3 (Clear bass 2, ULT1) Wavelet AutoEQ: Marshall Major 2 Wavelet GraphicEQ: All maxed out. Enjoy the 1000$ sound experience.

Quick! Better alternatives than the Space A40s? (Unless they're still king) I need small earbuds as I have small ears openings. I don't mind sports earbuds as long as it doesn't sacrifice audio quality. (Similar price, I'm on a budget for this)

It’s different. They don’t vibrate as much because Skullcandy uses haptic motors to add artificial vibration.

It’s different. They don’t vibrate as much because Skullcandy uses haptic motors to add artificial vibration. If you like that feeling keep using Skullcandy. I prefer Sony sound as well as their superior ANC and transparency modes.

I got them from best buy and of course great headphones buuuuut I gave them to a friend as a birthday gift because of the REAL bass King! in my opinion lol I love my skullcandy crusher. I've had every version and any other headphones just sound like they have absolutely no bass when I try them.

I still have my Skullcandy Crusher Evo. They use haptic motors to add additional vibration. Gives them a distinct hardware advantage over regular headphones. But it's a double-edge sword. Turn it up too much and it can easily destroy your music.😂

I think these have the best anc and transparency mode, but as far as sound goes i honestly I think the xb900n have a way better sound and have a good amount of more volume than the Ults and xb910n.

The JBL 770 are probably the strongest competition for the Sony ULT Wear at this time. While the JBL have longer battery life, the Sony ULT Wear win in every other category in my opinion. Sound, ANC, Ambient, etc. I hope this helps.

No. You still get bass-heavy sound but you cannot switch EQ or ULT modes while wired. ULT MODES ONLY WORK WHILE USING BLUETOOTH.
