25:15 - Cowan cannot start with the marlies. He would have go back to the Knights. He is underage. Same situation as Shane Wright. So the situation is more complicated. Do you let him rot in juniors and get bored, but let his body develop, or do you put him in the NHL and risk going too early? It's not an easy thing to decide. You probably have to start him in the NHL to get a proper look. If the first 10 games look really good, you probably have to keep him in for the full 82 due his low cap hit.

Next year, we're going to be paying Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares and Reilly $54.153 million dollars. If we're paying a group of 5 players this kind of money relative to the rest of the team they should be literal GAME BREAKERS in the PLAYOFFS and we've had an 8 year sample size to see that they aren't. Our powerplay was garbage, we can't seem score more than 3 goals and our depth scoring was non-existent. We've already had enough time with this experiment, how much more proof do you need to see that it doesn't count when the playoffs come around? I understand you're scared of what might happen if we trade Marner but I don't think you've considered that this might actually be a better team in the playoffs without him.
