imo it doesn't have to make contact with the gound to be a wheel, I say to make the question fair you have to use the broadest definition for both, a wheel defined as any roundish object on an axle that can spin, so a gear would count bit a tire in a land fill would not as those are not on an axle. And a door defined as any object on a hinge that blocks or allows access to a space as it closes or opens. So a painted on door on a toy wouldn't count for a door. In this case wheels win by a large margin due to what can count as a wheel, think of all the machines in the world such as engines, clocks, ect. that have gears...

I feel the argument should have some rules, one being man made objects because I saw someone say that the protein gates in the skin layer saying that there is about trillions of doors in there and someone countered saying that each proton spinning around neutron counts as a wheel so I think that it should be labeled to only man made objects (humans don't count as man made in this context)

Hot wheels, roller coasters, office swivel chairs, the actually rubber wheel with the rim wheel, the extra wheel in most people’s cars, the wheel deposits (large areas in sand just filled to the brim with worn out rubber wheels) conveyer belts, drawers, some cabinets and shelves have wheels, lego wheels etc…

you didn't count trunk and front as doors, also household items there are billions of buildings and most of them are taller than 2 stories. also look at china alone. so many EMPTY buildings (that have doors). each story of a tall building, residential or not, has dozens of doors, not just one. spinny chairs aren't enough to annulate this. look up vacant houses statistics, that shit's crazy i wouldn't count alone tires as wheels as they are impossible to connect to something to make it roll, hence they're just a round piece of rubber, by that logic a bagel is a wheel toy cars are the biggest argument but i would argue home appliances like a microwave, washing machine, anything basically, cupboards, entrance doors and room doors all outweigh the toy wheels by a wide margin. think about mailboxes in huge appartment buildings. doors aren't just hinges either. elevator doors, sliding doors, automatic store doors and so much more. you could call window a door if you use the hinge definition i could go on forever but wheel people use the same arguements with sketchy definitions and no real thought into the opponent side.

I’d count a car as having at least 9 wheels 4 for tyres 1 for steering wheel (wheel is in the name) and I’d say the rim of which the tyre goes on would also count as a wheel which would come to 9

Just because it has wheel in the name doesn't mean it's actually a wheel. People can name anything whatever they want that doesn't change what it is. A wheel is defined as under a vehicle or other object to help it move so a steering "wheel" doesn't qualify. Just like a "wheel" of cheese isn't an actual wheel. Also tires are not wheels, they go on the wheels

Honestly, I’m neither. If I see a video for doors, I’ll go talk about wheels, and so I have to do the inverse here. A few of these citings ignore or otherwise forget the last part of the definition of wheels. The part where it says “over the ground.” Important. That’s really my only complaint, though. Except that for a Lego tire or landfill tire to count it has to be on a Lego or real vehicle and help it move. And that tires and rims are not separate wheels.

i think the "wheels" on converyer belts are not Wheels. They are rollers. Theres a difference, I think that it is fair to say that once the width of a wheel exceeds the radius of the wheel it becomes a roller and not a wheel. Furthermore I think that any compartment/opening that is accessed through the means of hingees or sliding, counts as a door. For example: windows that open should be considered doors, they work like doors. a hatch into a basement is still a hatch door, so why shouldn't something like a window be considered a type of door? I think when you take this into account it becomes a lot fairer, although I do think that you forgot to mention that drawers use wheels in order to function which is a really great argument for the wheels side of this debate. GEARS do not count as wheels, neither do nuts or bolts or anything like that, they are their own components. There are many things that have doors, all vehicles, public cubicles, cupboards, windows in buildings, some household items like chests, washing baskets and bins. Overall I think that is is a tough debate, there are some strong arguments for both sides.

everyone uses cars as examples, just use a door as an example in doors the pin in the door hinges are just an elongated wheel and a door is a plank with a handle, at least one hinge so thats already tripled the amount of doors because a handle has 2 sides (2wheels on an axle) so thats already doubled the doors, plus the pin(elongated wheel) in the hinge and yes minimum 3x the amount of doors (and this is just the wheels in the doors) so yes Wheels WIN!!!!!!!!
