This challenge is always fun and frustrating to attempt. As for the pendulum weirdness, I think what happened was during the first few times Dani was relying on his subconscious body movements to communicate his subconscious analysis of the picture while later he began to attach a conscious attention to the movement which messed up the progress of the process. The subconscious often catches details our conscious minds don’t.

It makes sense for couples to look alike that have been together a long time through empathetic mimicry. It has been shown people are attracted to those who resemble themselves, but there is no conclusive reason why. I'm sure it has something to do with genetics and our basic instinct to find comfort and familiarity as well as "breeding" to get the most dominant traits passed on versus taking a chance at losing dominant traits with a partner whose traits over shadow your own.. I just wish I knew what the children looked like with some of these couples.

In Indonesia there's a term called 'muka jodoh' which can be translated to 'soulmate face'. It's a phrase that people used to call certain couples when their faces have so many similarities or resemble each other so much that people believe that they are destined to be with each other. Well sometimes it's not so much the facial features that identical but more like the facial expression that similar, like they look alike when they smile or when they frown, etc. I guess it's true what they say that we tend to be attracted to a person with a familiar face (e.g. look like our parent or even ourselves). What interesting is most of the couples are not intentionally looking for partner with similar face but it's almost always other people that point it out when they're already dating without they even realizing it.

The whole thing with this is psychologically you're going to be more attracted to someone who has features that are similar to your own family. As it's what your subconscious is already somewhat used to. So this would be a hard challenge as I'm sure the editors also chose pictures where everyone looks alike.

I’m fair skinned, a little pale. I have brown hair and hazel/green eyes. My sister is dark skinned with brown eyes and black hair. She and I look nothing alike and people are shocked that we come from the same mother and father. She’s not the only one that dark either. On both sides, there are a lot of pretty dark skinned people. However, my skin lightened over time I think because old photos has me having darker skin. Not as dark as my sister, but still like olive.
