I can't even remember the last thing I wrenched on that I didn't have to modify in some form, even non vehicle projects. If I can improve it I absolutely will...... good call, a significant improvement. Keep the content coming, I really look forward to it.

Great point! I said the same thing to Kelly. It's not uncommon to have to modify an aftermarket part, but usually you don't have to go to this extent. Thanks for watching. New video coming on Tuesday!

Dang dude, reminds me of trying to build a lego set with inadequate pieces but you rigged it just right. The difference can be seen as clear as day so the ride itself must be sick and it looks cool in the bay, good to see a vid seems like it had been a while.

Wpn R has instructions on their website. I've been running mine since 08. Usually, there is a better mount location, standaloneish. But I don't think this is necessarily a bad location. Also 3rd gen lude ftw.

I think Weapon-R makes an expensive one for the xB. It’s beefy
@ExtremeDailyDrivers2 жыл бұрын
They do and it's like $300. After doing a lot of research on this subject I have concluded that all of the companies use the same cheap shocks, they just put their stickers on it. What they produce are the brackets. I'm sure the WeaponR fits the xB rather well, but it's still not worth $300. I wish I knew how to weld because these would be easy to make. Thanks for watching.

@@ExtremeDailyDrivers at best, I’d probably re-purpose some NRG hood shocks because they’re oil filled instead of gas or air

I didn’t understand: were you not satisfied with the quality of the mechanism mount or how the damper was made? do you continue to use it?
@ExtremeDailyDrivers Жыл бұрын
All the above. I no longer use it because I have updated my engine mounts to AWR mounts. I did a video on it. Just search the channel. Thanks for watching.

I have a mazda demio with a mazda miata engine. little room for the engine. with deviations there are dangerous touches. hard mounts solve the problem but give strong vibrations - that's why I'm considering installing a damper

Shouldn't you try to make the shock as perpendicular (straight) as possible as opposed to angling?

Dude, I think you didn't set the damper correctly. It should work both in compression and in tension. Your depreciation works only for compression. P.S. I can be wrong, so write what I'm wrong.
