@@michaelobrien5475 Both clubs are entertaining but IMO Spurs are more equipped to play in the CL than Villa. They have some experienced players and more squad depth. Villa will be like Newcastle, great initially but run out of steam due to lack of depth.

@@michaelobrien5475 I think Villa have the edge too as they are a more coherent team ATM, but that is understandable as Spurs are only 8 months into their rebuild. I think most fans that see their club newly entered the CL underestimate the difficulty of playing CL and PL football. It isn't just about team strength, but managing fatigue and not adapting to a whole new style of football as most teams aim to counter and score. There are these minor quirks you only pick up from playing in the CL before. See Arsenal, Newcastle and even when Spurs first entered, they were naive and thought they could play the same as they did in the PL but got taught a hard lesson. The following seasons, the Spurs players grew from it and progressed further into the competition. If Villa makes it to the CL then I'll root for you guys but keep your feet grounded because CL debut season will be more difficult than you think.

I didn't say we'd have a better closing run, then Villa, I just said we would be better placed with the extra confidence to have a better run because we won on Saturday instead of lost or Drew. That is my point, that the confidence we gained from winning that game from a losing position, will help us get more points in the next 12 games. I don't believe that Villa are better of us. That is my opinion, and it's not a fact. But then neither is your opinion fact.

Guys smell the coffee. Emery is a better coach then Ange. Aston Villa is a better team at this moment then Tottenham which is just a collection of good players but not glued together yet. Lenglet revival is a great gain for Aston Villa. And Emery saw in him more then Xavi did priorly. The 5 points Villa has now ahead of Tottenham is not due to luck. It is due to hard and smart work done by Emery and the quality of his players. Next year Tottenham may be better glued as a team. As it stands now, Ange has no chance of ending in the first 4.
