About ATE: First of all, I must say that Stray Kids is my favorite group in kpop since I started stanning them in 2018, so I admit that I have a bit of a bias when it comes to them. That being said, this mini is so freaking good MOUNTAINS is an epic intro to the album and I'm sure it's going to go even crazier live. I've wanting Stray Kids to try their hands with a latin sound since Maknae on Top and Chk Chk Boom delivered so hard on that front, I had the pre-chorus and chorus stuck in my head for days. Jjam is just 3racha flexing their production skills, because the production goes absolutely crazy here. They don't want anyone to forget that they are the original experimental group in JYP. They truly sat down and created a song about a situationship, didn't they? No, but I Like It is just a very catchy and addicting song, and I will ignore of all the red flags😂. I love Runners' cyberpunk atmosphere, these type of songs are just superior. Dean's spirit was in the room when Han created Twilight, it just reminds me so much of his discography. And Stray Kids' lyrics hits different after the news of their contract renewals. There won't be a last Step Out indeed! For me, i found chk chk boom (minus the spicy latina bits) to also reminded me a lot of s class which i believe is a song that's generally hated within and outside of the stay community, so im wondering why do they bith have different reception overall if they do kinda sound the same to me 😭🤣🤣 Also i adore mountains, its so stray kids coded, it also reminded me of top line (which is also a fav song from the s class mini) also for skz in this point of their musical career to just now include the song stray kids (when that song should've existed in levanter era lol) is a very stray kids mood + its very quirky girl of them 😋😋😋😋 Okay just came back, bruh jjam is so fucking gooood, the instrumental slaps!! About Cosmic: I can't seemingly make out my mind about Cosmic, I've listened to it a few times and I still haven't had a concrete thought about it, except that I like the 80s disco orchestra hits in the song. Sunflower just sounds like a watered version of Bye my Neverland by Kiof, without reaching the quality of that song. The rest of the mini is solid. Nothing too groundbreaking but it's still good Red Velvet music
