I think we’re cooked, but we won’t be burnt to a crisp. I wonder if people during the two World Wars felt this way or even others before that. This too shall pass, but what Gen Z really needs to understand in my personal opinion: How to take action. We acknowledge everything is wrong, but we still wallow in our sorrows and dig ourselves deeper holes by doomscrolling or finding distractions. That works for only such a short amount of time before it stops becoming your advantage. Community is needed now more than ever, and that means actually going out to do something like volunteering for a food bank, find mutual aid groups, or do something fun like what some high school kids in New York are doing with their Luddite Club (look it up!) We’re cooked, but we will be okay. :)
