To play devil's advocate . It is easy to say things like "we should fund all science more", but as someone who works in the environmental field, often times there is a limited budget and choices have to be made. Space is "cool" and bipartisan, NASA has one of the most favorable public opinions. So when NASA wants budget for space things it is easier for them to get it. Then when another agency wants money for an envionmental study or carbon capture project it is met with hostility from one side and it is often not passed or passed in a gutted form. So while I wouldn't say space exploration is a waste of money I don't think its necessarily wrong to say there is an argument that those funds could be better spent on the benefit of humanity.

One of the greatest stories of all time (not that the adaptation really did it justice) and it flopped horrendously mostly due to the animation. A lot of people say space exploration is a waste of resources and usually say something "we can be using this money for the public good, solving homelessness, etc" when in reality that money would never go to solve actual issues we have. Most of that money would find its way into the pockets of friends of politicians and billionaires. The rest would just be spread out throughout our bureaucracies. The real reason so many politicians and pundits spread around defunding space exploration is because it shows how effective PUBLIC spending is. They want to get rid of it because it's a constant reminder that their policies of privatizing everything aren't more effective at anything except making their friends money.

I always enjoyed the after dark content more, I was sad when you boys said you where stopping it. So it makes me happy see the after dark style on the main podcast. A suggestion you guys should do a like top 3 episode where each of you will make top 10s for say movies, games, tv shows, music etc. and present and then the other boys will have to guess which on out of the 10 is your top 3 and score points based off how many you get.

We need a cooking show just so we can get Joey to learn how to cook, because he wouldn't bother unless it's for the content lol

The artstyle of Violet evergarden definetly made me more interested in watching it I wouldn’t necessarily be so invested in a deep story about people wanting to connect with eachother with letters like that

Animation quality is super important for 90% of people who rate anime. No matter how good the story, characters, or plot are, if it has average animation, it will never reach the top 10 in today's time.

Yeah, I've attempted to watch 90's shows like Cowboy Bebop as someone who started watching in 2017 but for whatever reason I couldn't even bother to finish the 1st episode because of the art style.

@@tobynorrisThat's not really what we're talking about. Cowboy Bebop objectively has good animation. OP discussing shows that have mediocre animation quality

Meanwhile, if I don't find the characters or story compelling in the first few episodes, I'll move on regardless of animation quality. Good Animation = Hype, which seems to be the most highly, if not only, valued aspect of most animated shows nowadays.

@@Ash_Wen-liSee that's where I think OP is wrong. Most anime fans wouldn't recognize quality animation if it dropped a piano on them, they just make a superficial judgement of old art style = bad animation.

Jujutsu Keisen is more than just the animation, Joey. It does basic shonen story and character writing real well.

Well goodness gracious! It seems that most recent episodes are the boiis playing some games and or answering some questions 😆🫠
