Taking care of another kid is no mean feat! When you hav your own, you grow with them from a newborn, so you teach them the ways of your house, and they have their own toys there, and they know your rules and boundaries, which will def be different to another families. You'll be fine. You have a stable home, a stable marriage, and plenty of family support, so it'll be sweet :) Not to say there wont be hard times when you are sleep deprived and think the baby has been sent to torture you, but you get thru those, and realise it's all worth it. I have incredible problems with my 15yr old, but i still love them, and our family wouldnt be whole without them.

i think your ready. it’s probably harder because he’s not your kid. you don’t have any stuff specifically for him. like a crib,toys stuff like that. as if you had a kid of your OWN he or she would have his or her own crib, room and toys. i babysit. it’s always harder when babysitting at my house because the kids are used to their stuff at their house.
