Are we totally screwed? 2025 Astrology & Tarot Reading for the Next Four Years

In this video I interview astrologer and author Frederick Woodruff about his thoughts on the 2025 astrology and the new administration. We look at a four card tarot reading that Frederick did for the next four years and we discuss how Pluto in Aquarius will play out.

Frederick Woodruff lives on a small island in Puget Sound. His astrology teacher was Ivy Goldstein-Jacobson. He practices practical, what he calls ‘naked'(*) astrology that he combines with dream work with his clients (**).
His most recent book, Skywriter: Notes on Modern Astrology, is available on his site frederickwoodruff.com, and his new true crime romance novel, I Love You, Jeffrey Dahmer, is slated for release in March of this year.
Notes from Frederick:
(*) I do not work with asteroids, Arabic parts, invisible planets, secondary progressions, solar arcs, galactic centers, etc. To me, astrology is happening in ‘real-time’ and is earth-based (fire, earth, air, water). The southern Hemisphere is as equally present in my approach as the Northern Hemisphere, which Western astrologers seem to forget about. lol. (I have several clients in Australia).
(**) My horoscope is 80% water, and focused primarily on the 12th, 4th and 8th houses of the chart. So, working with clients-- once we meet up--is like entering a dream field together. I see the chart as a mandala, like elements of--or a narrative of--a dream. Very much like standard dream work, we dialogue together to understand and perhaps interpret the dream. I’m not a predictive astrologer.

I read your comment and it gave me goosebumps when you mentioned about our beautiful planet with no borders between countries. I had a vision while meditating 2 years ago about our Earth in 1000 years. At that time there is no borders between countries, no homeless everyone has home and vegan no meat eaters, no money system we produce and barter. However the population is much less than we have now, only in millions and more water than land.

Such an amazing episode. As a 22 degree Aquarius who has also spent 20 years in tech, I can attest to the amount of fraud that is in this system. It's amazing how jaded I am about tech and AI being an Aquarius! I basically quit my last engagement when Pluto went into Aquarius because I just couldn't align myself with what was happening. Unfortunately, Pluto destroys before it rebuilds and Uranus is like lightning. Many people who are on top right now, will be toppled in the shakeout. I look at it like the Tower of Babble.

28:21 Irish Granny Helen has a great video about this, but, long story short, Project 2025 has a section about essentially persecuting anyone not in their religious flavor who are giving predictions, such as the astrologers and tarot readers. By saying "for entertainment only", it gives the readers a CYA. Hope that helps, Frederick!

My son will turn 30 in July. He has worked since he was 16. He graduated college with honors, full ride scholarship so no student loans. He and his wife refuse to have children because of all the economic chaos. My son worked for non profits, but funding was always an issue looming and his job was never secure. So he kept applying for federal positions. He finally qualified for the federal position of his job, last fall. His pay increased 10K a year, so a nice boost but still under 50K a year. He has always worked 40 hrs. week in an office. He got the email. They are NOT just targeting remote workers. THEY ARE TARGETING PEOPLE WHO WORK IN OFFICES. So many of my son's coworkers are young married parents of small children. Hardly the epitome of Woke in Austin Texas. My son is scared s$itless, literally. He does not want to lose his job. He rents an apartment and drives an old used car.

I had a Bolivian professor in 2000 that wrote a book about the signs that the US was at the end of its empire. I remember coming back in 2003 to the opulence of the US and the Cheesecake Factory bathrooms had plastic Roman pillars. It felt strangely symbolic of the times then. I do think we are living at the end of an empire.

Frederick needs to remember the bank bailout of 2008 happened under Bush, not Obama. There can be an argument made that Obama could have done more to help underwater homeowners, but a lot of Americans were against helping people who were underwater. It was disappointing to see him blaming Obama but never mentioning Bush!

Interesting that your guest claimed he nearly lost his home under Obama, when it was actually under GW Bush that the real estate market fell causing people to lose homes or to be under water with mortgages. In fact, it was under the Obama administration that states were able to provide very successful programs, e.g., Step Forward, which enabled homeowners to save their homes from foreclosure.

We are in the thick of the events leading to the crisis. I thought covid was the crisis but sadly it was not enough. It’s shocking really and difficult to process. This is the way I explain The Fourth Turning: Imagine being born on January 1st in London England in the year 1900. What would your world-view be? Juxtrposition that with another person born in London England on January 1st in the year 1940 . . . just 40 years later. Interesting video. I recently learned about Pluto out of bounds south which is what we are entering with Pluto in Aquarius which is about revolution. It was out of bounds south (Aquarius) during the French Revolution. older boomer were born with Pluto out of bounds north which is about the rising of dictators and kings- fits Pluto in Leo. This is about elevating the dictators (Hitler rise to power) I feel hopeful with Pluto out of bounds south and not north and in Aquarius which is power to the people. Still messy but the outcome depends on the collective and not the one king.

Great, potent, fun (not fun at times) episode. As a 17º Sun Cancer in 6H this prompted me to look back at when Pluto was more precisely opposing my sun and it was the couple of years (cos it stood still on my 17º point before retrograding!) where I had a huge spiritual awakening, started meditating seriously, and did a massive longterm charity thing and then my health was promptly stripped away and that's what I've been dealing with since (living in my bed since 2018 with MEcfs). I've no idea what it all means tbh, but Pluto now heading to my 3º ASC has me surrendering because I can't possibly lose anymore life than I already have. I just have to remember that my soul signed up for this WHILST the bin fire is going on around me! 😂

The bottom line was the Dems elected to fix the horror caused for so many by Bush & greedy bankers was not prioritized the way it should have been. They focused on legislation about Obamacare and Dreamers (both important and valid) but they did not do enough to help people who were deeply impacted by the crisis. This was something I heard more progressive economists at the time on stations like NPR and on Meet the Press when it was actual journalism begging the administration to do more to help working people and write tougher legislation to make sure their were repercussions for those who caused the mess. No bankers went to jail and untold amounts of people did lose homes. Along with gerrymandering it is why Dems lost so badly in 2010 midterms. I for one am realistic that Obama and Biden didn’t do what they were elected to do. They did what they thought was right. I liked there policies but Obama didn’t give working people the change they were hoping for and Biden didn’t protect us from the crisis we now face. He prioritized infrastructure over hiring a competent AG. Republicans ARE responsible but our leaders have to be stronger in the face of such destruction or else we wind up where we are today.

By birth I have Pluto exactly conjunct Mercury in the 7th (Aqua rising) along with Sun in Leo. I always feltbthatb the Boomers Ihung out with and in generl were too self-absorbed. That is debatable; Crowley did not use Kings within his depiction of the court cards. Ultimately, there shouldn't be cross-referencing between two completely different schemas. Some try to conflate the Page/Prince, some the King/Prince. Neither attribution is correct or 'works.'
