GrimHarvester it could be a survey, but there is a rather indirect way of knowing. they know what you watch, they see see all this and recommend shows/movies based on what you watched before. they all have a "see it again" tab, so it's possible they see how many times you see shows. they could deduce that shows with episodes seen twice in a certain amount of time are most likely in the the "netflix cheaters" category. when was the last time you have seen an episode twice? likely a few times, but when was the last time you watched multiple episodes twice after having watched them a few day prior? likely not many... Unless your cheating. they don't have to directly see you/hear you watch a movie with another and "cheat," they just need to see clues that indicate cheating with clues we know that we know they take. if they use the times you watch an episode and how long you watched in that session, they could then deduce the amount of people who cheat and keep it a secret (because those keeping a secret would watch the episode again to reset the time indicator and have the next episode queued like nothing happened).
