In my experience most generational curses work like the following. A generational curse is a contract the enemy has on the family to be able to hang out with you trying to egg you down the road of whatever that sin is. If you do not sin in that manner then the enemy can't enter but still hangout around you until you repent outloud and break the curse off you. I have discerning of spirits and before I knew how to break a generational curse off the enemy would hangout in certain areas of my house. Also adoptive parents pass down generational curses or blessings to their adopted kids. I had three generational curses of religions running in my family witchcraft, satanism, and freemason. Witchcraft started back in 1818, satanism a 174 years ago, and freemason since the beginning of our country. I never felt demonized by the spirits but after I repented and they were gone my discernment got a lot stronger and so did my word of knowledge. It was like a veil was lifted.

But before I became a nurse I worked in residential treatment as a psych tech and I remember one Particular patient and had such a gut feeling that this person was one of the exceptions to the rule.…There seems to be something demonic that would come over this person. But I guess I will never know. Exorcism is not on the list of approved treatment.

I completely agree with the "don't assume it's a test, or a punishment, fight it in the power of Christ" mentality. I think all too often we don't think God is able to set us free from our afflictions and it keeps us in bondage, but Paul was very clear here, not only describing "what" it was, but "why". I'm not saying this is a universal example of what God does, but in the case of Job and Paul, God allowed Satan to have an impact on their lives for God's glory. He is sovereign and it is not His will for us to suffer, but only He knows what it is we need to draw near to him and He can use the things of this world born of sin to bring about his purpose. He didn't create it, we were already subjected to it because of the fall, and God can shape situations to bring about His purpose.

The situations of Job and Paul are quite different, and one should not surmise God gave His people over to Satan. The Almighty God is definitely not working in partnership with Satan. Regarding Job: ▪︎It was the LORD God who instigated Satan to trouble Job. ▪︎The LORD considered Job to be "blameless-a man of complete integrity". ▪︎Getting Satan involved in Job's situation wasn't intended to enhance his righteousness. Regarding Paul: ▪︎Paul talked about his tendency to become "conceited" and prideful, owing to his "surpassing greatness of the revelations". If indeed, God had given Paul immense amount of revelations, then consider: ▪︎if Paul was in fact conceited, then didn't God make a mistake that He now had to correct by sending him a constant thorn of pain? ▪︎if Paul was never conceited and God had given him abundant knowledge, isn't this the very plan of God to equip His people? Mt 13:12 Consider another strange Paul’s statement: 1Co 5:5 "Then you must throw this man out and hand him over to Satan so that his sinful nature will be destroyed and he himself will be saved on the day the Lord returns." 1Ti 1:20 "Hymenaeus and Alexander are two examples. I threw them out and handed them over to Satan so they might learn not to blaspheme God." It seems undeniable a fact that Paul is working hand-in-hand with Satan - to render sinful men to become righteous men for God. Surely, there's something quite sinister about Paul and his words. I tell you this - I have long stayed far away from Paul, and ever closer to Jesus Christ in the four Gospels.

I thought it was weird that years ago I stoped watching tv and movies then turned the radio off while in the car began fasting starting with 30 days I cut meat out of my diet as an experiment. Stopped smoking weed and I was a daily smoker for 25years, then got fed up with the daily alcoholism for about 20 years. I cut all people out my life that didn’t match my frequency. I took as much time as I could to myself only. I didn’t understand why such a change I was making but I didn’t know anything about the bible God and Jesus. I now understand I had to go to class with no distractions. God is great.

praying for you 🙏 If you want to be free of it I believe you will be, go slowly and work with your doctor, our pastor just gave a sermon about needing meds for anxiety and other similar issues and he said, some people simply go through more than others and some need the medicine for the rest of their lives and this is ok we are not to judge them. Some need it for a time and later are able to go off of it and might need it again at some point or not. Our pastor talks about needing anxiety medicine and counseling for three years during one time in his life it was after a difficult time in his pastorship where many people didn’t accept him as past or and there was big fighting in our church. we are even a church that believes in deliverance. he is not a deliverance person, some have specific ministries for this. for him it wasn’t a deliverance issue but a matter of needing to be treated medically. He also has ptsd symptoms. I’ve been through it too. God bless you with what you are going through prayers for you 🙏💪🔥

One day, out of the blue, I understood completely how much God loves and cherishes me as I am.
