I liked Mr. Goldberg initially when he was interviewed and "humbled" the arrogant Corporal, I mean Captain Peacock! Afterwards, Mr. Grace put Goldberg in his place when Goldberg tried to compare his years to Mr. Grace. Grace commented that there was a difference between him and Goldberg. Mrs. Slocome's different hair colors were forty years too soon. Mr. Grace was older than water but still enjoying life. Sometimes I thought Mr. Grace would fake sleep just so he wouldn't have to answer their questions or deal with their foolery. That old man wasn't that far gone.
