"Are You BLIND?!" - Lord Ed Vaizey CLASHES With Esther Krakue Over New 'Devastating' Poll For Tories

Rishi Sunak’s Tories could be reduced to fewer than 100 MPs at the general election, a new poll has suggested.
The 15,000-person poll was used to create a seat-by-seat breakdown, which indicated the Conservatives would be wiped out in Scotland and Wales and hold just 98 seats in England.
The survey put Labour on 45% with a 19-point lead over the Tories on 26%.
The constituency forecast suggested Sir Keir Starmer’s party could be on course for a landslide, winning 468 seats.
The poll suggests the Scottish National Party would pick up 41 seats, the Liberal Democrats 22 and Plaid Cymru two.
In 2019 the Conservatives had 365 seats, Labour 203, the SNP 48, the Lib Dems 11 and Plaid four.
In an analysis which will fuel Conservative unease about the threat from Reform UK, the survey suggested Richard Tice’s party will come second in seven seats and achieve an overall vote share of 8.5%, just behind the Liberal Democrats on 10.4%
Lord Ed Vaizey says “there is everything to play for” ahead of the general election despite a new poll forecasting disaster for the Tories.
Esther Krakue: “Starmer says Sunak is detached from reality and unfortunately I have to add you to that as well.”

The Tories will have less than 50 seats because their voters are not coming back. Some will vote Labour, a lot will vote reform and even more will stay home. I doubt there's a single Conservative seat you could describe as not vulnerable and thr Tories claiming Reform will let Labour win is nonsense because its obvious Labour have already secured victory and everyone knows it. The irony is it was the Conservative that have handed Labour a landslide victory that will see them in office for two to three terms in government. I hope Labour are better but given past performance they will prove as incompetent as the Conservatives.

@@andykerr4180 When abstentions are more than the entire vote combined, and the elected candidate only has the active support of one in six of the population, doesn't that make First Past The Post undemocratic? When Bills are passed which have no Manifesto basis, and are signed by a King, is that democratic? Is Representative Democracy actually democratic, when we can have Direct Democracy, by referendum ratifying Bills instead of Royal Approval? We're no longer in the 1680s, when communications were problematic.

I would vote reform just becuse they have a motive energy and policies which care about the UK primarily, before anywhere else. reading the manifesto they have a mix of capitalism and nationalism (not fascism, or xenophobic) which caters for the majority. raising the free pay limit to 20% helps those most on lower incomes as a 1.2% cut of £100 = £1.20 where on £1000 = £12.00 so benefiting higher income more. 20p reduction in fuel duty as well. seems they want to keep money in the country. amongst many other policies which are not detatched from the electorate.

Somehow this guy hasn't worked out that people won't vote Conservative because they're not actually conservative. Reform isn't taking votes from the Tories. The people who voted Conservative last time who are planning on voting Reform this time would simply not vote at all if Reform weren't there. The Tories have sold out their voters.

Both labour and Conservatives play the same game. Its not vote for us because we have these great ideas, its vote for us or the other guy will get in. Time to vote for who you actually want and when Labour get in then so be it. The Torys have been toast for a while now. The only question is how burnt do you want it? Here's a thing though, people may actually decide that a vote for Reform is no longer a wasted vote.

how is criminalising homelessness a good policy, doesnt he realise they are his parties responsibility if he should be finding them houses and within a month they could be able to work, as Denmark proves, kicking someone when they are down and/or brushing problems under the carpet does not make a leader.

I'm utterly shocked at Tory incompetence. Around the globe, and in Europe, right-wing conservatism is thriving and winning elections. In Britain conservatism is collapsing...all thanks to David Cameron turning it into the Labour party. It's so bad people are leaving the country. I'll never vote for them again.
