I am simply fed up with the mainstream luxury brands-the Dior scandal, quality issues (glazing, wonky stitching), and LV being the bully that ate luxury. It seems that none of them are interested in good customer service and fine workmanship. So yes, I have been exploring the world of ‘other’ brands.

Hi Hannah. I used to buy 2nd hand LV bags many years ago because I couldn't afford the new ones, but I still wanted to own quality bags that lasted a long time. Since discovering your channel, you have introduced me to many brands that are more discreet, and totally my style. I agree with you. I no longer have an interest in carrying a bag with tons of logos all over. My priorities have definitely shifted. Now, I love my DUYP Paris 15, pochette and Boston bags, which I use every day. Also, thanks to you, I recently got the beautiful Archiduchess quilted bag from Meniere Paris, which I plan to use on special occasions. BTW, congrats on your colab with DUYP! 💖😊

I definitely understand. I have been bored for the past 2 years. I’m bored because I no longer believe in most luxury brands anymore. It’s either some terrible scandal or in my experience I’ve had less than decent quality with my purchases. LV is not what it once was. I sold most and only kept vintage LV. Chanel is even worse, and their customer service needs improvement. I still love Hermes, Loewe and some Prada & Gucci. I have started falling in love with brands like Coach.

Never have or would buy any brand with large logo. Also, the bags you showed and some your loaded up, won’t fit the necessities of my everyday life: sunglasses, wallet, phone, makeup case, keys, meds, tissues, pen. I note that most bags are good for going out in the evening or days where money is not needed…just a few credit cards, no comb or refresher makeup if gone for the day, no car and house keys and their fobs, no extra glasses. While these bags are beautiful, their sizes are useless for most women except as a pretty accessory to a styled outfit. Bags costing many hundreds or thousands of dollars should have protective feet on them and be of durable and not easily scratched leather without weighing too much for the shoulder. IMO

I haven't bought a "luxury brand" bag in more than two years..I still enjoy them. And while I feel grateful I have them, after having them, I feel the only way I can get cost per wear down with buying new bags, is buying contemporary bags, which I equally enjoy. My new bag purchases consist of minimal coach designs, cos for my casual outings. I previously bought polene and strathberry bags a few years ago as well--really been wearing my contemporary bags more than my "luxury branded" bags. Thank you sharing rsvp! I've been eyeing them but haven't pulled the trigger! I recently discovered St. Agni and am very happy with the bag quality!

I agree with you. I bought my first LV bag 2 years ago. I love it but I can't see myself with a collection of just all canvas. I did buy a bag in empreinte leather and then epi leather but I am loving all these other brands you are showing. I'm really happy to have a quality made bag, that isn't one of the corporate brands as well. I have a Paris 15 and I am going to order the Madison as soon as it becomes available. 😊

I agreed, I think a lot of people are bored with what most of the luxury brands have to offer at the moment. The only bag that I want right now is The Row Margaux but I don’t like it enough to go out and hunt one down. If I happen to see it online or in person I’ll probably get it but I’m not going to jump through hoops to get one.

Definitely bored with luxury. I no longer own anything from LV. Chanel is the only fashion house that I own, but even that “collection” is small. I’m content with having my Chanel Classic Medium Flap, Chanel Deauville in calfskin, and my WOC. However I do miss my LV Speedy B 30. I would purchase it in the 25 size in the future, but the hardware tarnishing is a massive dealbreaker for me. Would love the DUYP M case in the color swatch shown in your video, number 17. Always wished there was a nice cherry red leather good, especially for the holidays like Lunar New Year. I love the red that Songmont has for their mini Song bag, which I own. Also would love to see a 4 or 6 ring key holder similar to LV. I have the DUYP key pouch, but would love another key holder option. I’ve seen some that has a zipper similar to the Chanel WOC where you can hide “love letters”, except for this instance maybe bills or receipts. Hopefully that makes sense haha. Keep up the amazing content!💛

I honestly just recently started delving into luxury, and I think my interest has sparked at a very wrong time. 😂 Everyone seems to be either exhausted, or frustrated with the recent hikes in prices, and horrible quality issues. But that made me divert my enthusiasm towards other brands that are “not luxury” like DUYP! I can’t stop myself from checking their website, and I have to resist the temptation every time! Hehehe The new colors look so beautiful. Neutrals are all I wear, so I’m really loving colors #31 and #43. I can’t wait to see all the future collabs! ✨

I love the exclusivity of these bags. You should include a number in yours too. I missed that video. Will look for it now. The bag is beautiful. Have you designed it? I am now thinking of the brand “ HANNAH” and also play with the fact that it is a palindrome. Also, hav3 you ever though of creating ring planners? I don’t know if you ever heard of the brand “Uno de 50”. It’s a Spanish jewellery brand and they just produce 50 of each of their styles. That is what brings customers to the brand.

I agree. All the brands just basically have the same bags with their logos on there. The horseshoe bag from gucci is the same bag as the dior Montaigne as the classic flap as the LV pouchette Métis for example. Plus the quality is getting worse and the prices are insane for the shitty quality. Plus now everyone has the same bags again.. feels so silly

💯 % soo tired …. tired of the price hikes that are not in line with the quality and crappy customer service. They also feel so pushy to get you to buy, everything these days is “limited edition” “out of stock” blah blah BS they feed you ….just over it all. Also agreed just not inspired by them right now. I love my classics I have but I’m really into other brands right now like Stuart Weitzman bags- Ralph Lauren- Tumi- and shockingly Coach bc of how utilitarian and easy to wear their pieces are right now. would you still feel this way if you don't already own those BIG luxury brand bags? for eg you already have Birkin and Kelly, if you don't, would you not care anymore? I find that many luxury youtubers are promoting mid range bags these days because th3ey already own all the holy grails while for most of us all, still trying to save up or spend a huge amount to get those holy grails. I don't buy anymore but just watch for eye candies. There is still something about Chanel and LV for me 😉😉. BTW your DUYP bag looks great, reminds me of Loro Piana Extra Bag

That’s an interesting thought! I have holy grails and after having them have realized I’m much happier reaching for my mid lux pieces like Coach and Tory bc I’m not that worried about weather or rounding a corner where my bag might get scuffed. I’ll always have them as they are beautiful but to me the definition of luxury has now changed to one that is more utilitarian. I’m also not into the attention the bags receive whenever they are out and about which was something I didn’t think about before.
