Bob Kelly is one of the funniest people in the world. The east coast OG of podcasting. Bobby and Colin were doing a podcast in 2006, that's three years before JRE started. It was also really funny hearing two fat, depressed comics yell at each other. I'm super happy Bobby has decided to get surgery and take it seriously, it's a really admirable thing. *sorry for the following serious comment but I love Foley for the content you guys are creating* Dont let Bobby or his current success convince you to do the surgery. Yes, Some people who have the surgery have good results. MANY do not. Many, even with good initial results end up with a lifetime of problems directly due to the surgery including but not limited to nutrient deficiencies. Ive watched this personally with countless family members and friends of the family- over a dozen to be specific. When you remove a part of your stomach, you are removing a large part of the way your body processes and absorbs nutrition. After the surgery, you MUST follow strict protocol in order to survive, its extremely difficult and often results in significant side effects. For those who do have success and follow the necessary things, they couldve achieved the same results by simply doing those things and being disciplined without the surgery. Yes, it will take a little longer, but bluntly, its not healthy to lose weight as fast as Bobby has and others have with these surgeries. Its not rare to see people lose weight that fast and die from the shock to the heart and body system. Avoid the surgery brother. Just keep up the healthy eating, the exercising, and you'll be great. slow and steady wins the race. High protein, low carb, high healthy fats, high vitamin/nutrient content with weight training and light cardio and you will be just fine in a timely manner. You dont need keto, you dont need to completely eliminate anything and you dont even need to practice THAT much moderation as long as you are eating quality foods and being active. sorry for the long annoying post. I want nothing but the best for ya. Love bobby kelly but hes got issues between his past and his addictions and hes easily manipulated. He didnt need that surgery, he couldve practiced the same discipline hes showing now and he wouldve been better off and wouldve lost the weight without the surgery. Hes been exercising, walking, eating good. Thats all you need, anyone telling you otherwise is lying. The sole exception are those with hormonal issues, but those can be corrected with medications, not stomach surgeries.
