Are you losing depth readings on plane?

Have a Helix 9 chirp Mega D1 G3N. I lose dept at ~ 8 mph. Have skeeter 19 ft. The unit ~ 3 years old. Different clamp on connection(one clamp on connection). Transducer in back mount back of transom. Put 4 ft level in front- was level and put level on transducer- both level- is that correct. If so do I need another transducer and what do you recommend. Is there another way to check transducer. Bruce

Great video, thanks for the info, however, I already have the transom mount CHIRP transducer but it still loses the depth after approx 20mph. Any tips for this? Is the transducer not low enough in the water perhaps?

Mine looses depth at 10 mph. I bet I changed one of the settings, and don’t know how to get it back.
