in 1973 i bought a very expensive italian leather heels and matching purse.. still in good condition and i can dance all night in them. back then it was 85$ usd for both..now i wouldnt be able to afford them. so buying cheap isnt always a good thing.

Buying good quality even when too expensive is usually cheaper - better worth for money- in the end. But it will not be the last fashion, cause that will go out of style. Save up for a few good pieces and never buy fast fashion. It’s not durable. That’s how my mother raised me.

I don’t wear open shoes in winter. It’s always boots , high or low, but my ankles are always covered. And long socks with that. I live in a moderately cold climate. When wearing a sweater, a sjawl, gloves and a cap you should keep your feet warm too.

@@marjet2228 where i live there is a summer,,and open toe or not it is wise to watch for sales on quality clothing. quality has no season, i still have my cashmere coats and my black mink. still in good condition and classic ..the trendy leather i had to toss as it was no longer in style, i really liked it but it wasnt a wise purchase..diana shows many variations of simple classic designs with easy changes, i wish i had a mentor 50 yrs ago.lol. i would have saved so much grief. my uggs arent very stylish but in winter they are perfect for me i need a walker now and no one pays attention to old people but i dont look like a bag lady. you may be young enough to enjoy the winter and i hope you have a great one. i do miss the moon boots, lol

Personally I have worn brown for decades and I only wear it monochromatically ....I have chocolate brown hair and it is my fav color then of course I love gray and navy for fall. Some good ideas here but not a fan of winter white or white in general. I like how you reminded us to put a sweater over the top of a blazer. My daughter, Kennedy is 24 and does this all the time. Of course she lives in the snow, I don't LOL. thx for the share!

Your colour combinations are new to me n innovative. However, I live in the tropics n climate change n global warming makes it difficult to wear many layers. In fact we try to strip off as many layers as possible, so 3 pieces n up are definitely no noes. Thanks for the tips

Thank you Diana though I have a little budget I'm able to look for more considered items and fashion influences that are inexpensive but tasteful. I am sorry for how people choose to visit for whatever reason these advice pages to nitpick about something trivial. The beauty of these pages is one may *take what is helpful and may move on. One content creator cannot satisfy every single person's style, need or budget. But there's always something helpful to be taken away. :) It takes a lot to create these videos and I think some appreciation is due at least instead of griping, at something small. There is a way to frame dissatisfaction in a more constructive polite way. I wish folks would consider before approaching, a content creator is it hurtful or helpful? CC are not mind readers with insight into all of our lives. So often they use the same classic clothes they have used for years while also get commissions from brands. This doesn't come easy they have to create the content, often hire people to help , edit the videos, so on, and so far forth. I just think it's a little insensitive to judge without considering more what's happening behind the camera how much the people do. Anyway, I did not mean to rant. These videos are very often positive and I know they take work. It's nice to see appreciative feedback and constructive comments, but sometimes the needless ugliness on KZbin and social media gets old.

Love the advice! I definitely dress “safe” but style wise, I’ve always appreciated the chic looks. Just never had the eye to style myself that way :) I will be more mindful of these tips when shopping (haven’t updated my wardrobe in years).
