I mean how would that not have helped- if it had only been cyberbullying? The only reason it won't solve anything for her is because it isn't just cyberbullying, it's also real people in her surroundings. In a case of random people you don't know/ who are far away from you cyberbullying, block will get rid of it. As long as it's only cyber bullying and no irl bullying, block would help.

My problem is that, whenever I helped a boy (I'm a woman, at the time girl) that got bullied, they'd either re-direct their anger at me and not-trust me. OR they would mistake it for a flirt and start demanding love from me and if I did not agree with being their girlfriend, they'd bully me. OR they would confide in me, and once they did that (and realised what an amount of private info I suddenly had on them) they'd intimidate me into never telling others about their sad life and then make sure everybody thought I was stupid and dumb and would bully me (but they would pretend that I could trust thém.) They basically switched places with me, only I had been genuinely trying to help. Bottomline, I have tried helping people and so far, with girls this worked and the boys always made me get bullied OR they bullied me themselves.

There was a girl who absolutely hated me because I was friends with her best friend too, she was one of those rich girls that invited the entire grade to parties, except people she didn't like. I was one of those people. This was all going on in primary, but near the end people started seeing how badly she treated other people and wouldn't put up with her for the benefits of being her friend, so she lost her friends and came crawling to me for help. For a while she couldn't understand why people left her, and I had to explain to her that she was a bully.

As someone that got bullied for over 10 years, I never was the quiet one, I was "the outsider". They called me freak, ugly, fat, really bad words of all kind, volcano...anything. I always got angry and shouted back.. The teachers always heard me and thought I was the problem.. after a while, I thought that too..I had su!cidal thoughts but I didn't want to be even more painful for my family, who's amazing. On May 2022, a light came into my life, a new girl, a miracle, she was as lonely as me and we got on well from the start. We became our torch in all that darkness. We became best friends and, on March 2023, we met a guy from another school and we became "the outsiders trio". We all slowly became less and less sad and on September, we all got in high school, in different classes, yes, but closer that I could ever wish for. I met two girls like us on my new class and now we are "The freaktastic five plus one" (We know the name is cringe but we don't care anymore). (Yes, I'm 15) Btw I'm sorry if there are mistakes, english isn't my first language.

They’ve been calling me a snitch to this day. Sometimes I feel like nobody’s listening to me, they just say “We’ll take care of it” and nothing happens. I tried telling my dad and he just tells me “You have a good life, why are you so depressed! You know when I was a kid yadda yadda yadda!” I’m not belittling my dads past, he’s been through a lot but you still shouldn’t belittle what someone is going through just because it’s not as bad as what you went through.

No, lying isnt helping. some are bullied because they arent smart, arent brave, maybe even a bad person to begin with, unlikely? Yes but not impossible. while you can argue that most of whom are bullied may just be smart and brave, but that doesnt change the fact that they are bullied, if you wanna help them, its not by telling them what isnt, its to teach them things they lack, unless the person in question is already smart and brave, but just isnt confident, even then Confidence is still a skill that can be taught, so if someone's lacking that and gets bullied for it, you teach the skill, of course this is hard, but theres always the better option, if youve got nothing to offer, then dont offer anything.

One of the most diabolical experiences I’ve had as a guy who got bullied for a handful of years was 1) refusing to retaliate on my enemies out of sincere compassion for them and 2) them making me feel like I’m a worse threat that either deserves to be bullied or doesn’t know what they’re doing. I took on a spiel of childhood trauma that I underestimated for nearly a decade, including some conflict in college and even in recent where I’m highly misunderstood for my situation. Sometimes I tried to reach out but I would be so blind and confused as to my idea of asking for help that I ended up hurting other peoples feelings as if I myself were taking advantage of them, again misunderstood. I don’t have any regrets to this day concerning how lucky I am today, but amongst things like how depressed I was for years I have a few notions for those in my shoes no matter the age: 1) don’t be ashamed for having a slower paced life than others. I’m sure no one wants to be left behind, but you will cultivate way more healthily if you are accepting of where you are right now. 2) you do have time. You will be surprised how many open doors come to those who prepare for them, I’d imagine the people who typically don’t feel guilt from their day to day situations but can still feel empathy for others are the ones that deserve to unfold the opportunities. 3) let life show you the potential. I’ve always believed there was a reason i belonged on this earth no matter how deep in the hole I got or how pathetic I felt that I would never want to offer value if no one knew of my tragedy. No one should ever feel like they have to contribute something back at the expense of their own well being and connection. Anyways I’m very grateful for the casual yet creative approach of this short film. Maybe the arts really are an outlet for emotional drive and context that’s not recognized well enough these days. Feel free to reach out to me for anything, I’m more patient beyond belief and still work on my self compassion every day! Much love whether you are safe, struggling or out of the flames but still hope for things to make sense the way they can, and will. Don’t be afraid, always try something positive you’ve been in thought of and don’t ever give up.

@kazuoua
@kazuoua 3 жыл бұрын
@@Matthew-4DaPollie Right, for starters, victims of bullying usually don't get to have a "happy ending" as the epilogue of this short would make it seem. They either learn to tough it out or run away, somehow. This is mainly for two reasons, the first one is that bullied people very soon become emotionally "damaged" and they are not great or fun people to be around. While from the outside they might look like the victims, they're seething with rage, pain and hormones so lashing out at the earliest chance is not uncommon. In the short it's kinda surprising how the overweight kid didn't develop romantic feelings for the girl almost right away, bullying develops a sort of Stockholm syndrome on the victims so any show of kindness or non-aggression to them can make their emotions go from 0 to 100 very quickly. The second, related, reason is that people who don't like bullying, in general, normally prefer to stay away from the bullied. I imagine it's somewhat similar to the subconscious aversion you have for the sick. Maybe it's an evolutionary thing. In my opinion, a more accurate depiction of bullying would show a more isolated, angry (not sad, ANGRY) and emotionally damaged victim with almost complete lack of social interaction. Sprinkle in some instances of Stockholm syndrome (like I mentioned before) and there you go. For the epilogue, you show the victim either having a complete mental collapse or learning to live with their trauma.

High school is such a fish bowl, a lot of the time bullies won’t even realize what they’re really doing (or at the very least, the full extent of it) because they have these images of stereotypical shoving kids in lockers or “gimme your lunch money” scenarios when they think of bullying. Showing the role social media has in bullying is so crucial nowadays

Yes those stereotypes from movies, cartoons, and other media give off these perceptions or impressions of how bullying is and they're misguided by those bad examples. Even with Social Media bullying is getting worse but also getting more attention or awareness. Personally I feel like the parents are accountable for this to a certain degree by failing to supervise and discipline their kids/teens behavior teaching them from right and wrong.

I don't think it's that they don't realize that it's bullying. At least in my experience, it's just that these people don't care and they think your reactions (or lack there of) are funny. I will say that I agree people don't see it as seriously if you're not getting physically abused and you're seen as 'sensitive' and whatever when these kids emotionally and/or mentally abuse you. I don't think people recognize that bullying is just a nicer word for abuse.

The purple goo actually resembles depression,sadness and anxiety. Which resembles of which the following cyber bullying.

I feel like I would be that girl. Not because I bully my friends, but because I have a dark humor that I'm still trying to control, yet it still counts as bully. If they don't, they're assholes.
