Couldn’t the wife have just asked the butler, maid, and the cook what they were doing at the time before we asked her? We don’t even know when the wife was sleeping. Either way there’s not enough evidence at all for us to prove that she was or wasn’t asleep, let alone her killing her husband. There’s no motive, no cause of death, and not enough actual investigation. This isn’t a perception test, it’s a guessing game. A better test would be putting someone in the position of the detective and making them find clues and ask suspects and witnesses for information and evidence with some fake information being sprinkled in, then coming to a conclusion based off the evidence they found.

3:02 This one's tricky. At first, I thought it was the cook, as why would he be cooking breakfast at a time when the wife was sleeping. But the wife could've slept in, or the cook may have woken up early to have breakfast ready by the time the couple woke up. Instead, I think it's the butler, as depending on where you live, the mail may not come on Saturdays. It's hard to say because all we're given is that the man was killed while the wife was sleeping. We don't know what time it was, if the man was killed next to the wife or in another area of the house, etc. Edit: 3:40 Okay, the wife did it, which makes sense, and I had considered it, but I don't like how they "prove" it. It doesn't make sense how the wife would know where everyone was if she's just woken up when the detectives arrive. But if she woke up and discovered the body and called the police herself, she's still waiting for however long it takes them to get there. If I woke up to my spouse's dead body and knew other people were in my home, immediately after calling the police I'd be conducting my own investigation. At that point, it wouldn't be what I know, but what I was told. I suspected the wife more for the fact that she didn't hear her husband being murdered, not for how she knows what she claims to know. Even if she did do it, that's faulty logic, as she can't be everywhere at once so how would she know what everyone is doing even if she was awake?

I think it was the boss. He said he had "no reasons to leave the building at work hours" but that sounds absurd considering he IS the boss. The boss is usually the one most busy and will have long work hours, and he also has no choice but to leave the building because of some other pressing matter since it isnt the related to his job. But that also sounds a bit stretched, as im aware its saying that the boss is not paying enough attention, but my other reason to back this up is because employees of the boss might've needed his help specifically during work hours outside the building for some sort of project.

2 is incorrect. It was a equally as likely a murder as it is suicide. The recording device is a tape recorder. If no one is there to turn it off, it will record until the tape runs out & then auto stop, so the narrators methodology is critically flawed. The next question that raises though, is how did the tape get rewound to the beginning of the recording. Well either A, someone else did it supporting the murder theory, or the investigator rewound it, finding that the tape was at it's end, but the narration simply omitted that detail, leaving suicide as the more plausible answer. These scenarios need to be better fleshed out.

The boss took it out for a drive, destroyed it because he was drunk or intoxicated. He then reported it stolen and told his employees and us that he has been at work all week to solidify his alibi and duck the DUI while simultaneously getting insurance money for when they find the car.
