1200 will get you a free cruise for 2, the list of available cruises is split between free for 2 and the BOGO's. The free list may or may or not be smaller than in the past. Even the 800 point list has 2 free offers (limited selection)

Go back and look at the points list. It says Interior OR balcony(ocean view, etc) OR.......OR cruise for one + discount. NOT instead of. They added cruises for people that don't get as many points. They will be shorter cruises, they pick the room, etc., but they are not taking cruises away. What you get will always depend on how many points you have. They want more people on the ship. Because they know people will spend the money. Just like they were willing to give you discounts for your in between cruise to get you on the ship.

I often travel solo and have to pay for that imaginary guest. It’s going to not be good to me if this is a permanent thing. :(

Due to the MASSIVE DEMAND for cruising, cruise lines don't need to comp gamers to get them to play. Land based casinos are doing the same thing.

The cruise ship already costs enough without me pissing away money in the casino. Get on vacations to go and get a cheap cruise, it’ll cost you less than the amount you have to blow in the casino to get comped a ‘free cruise’

They do have a casino program. While I haven’t been on NCL I know they have a reputation of being more difficult to get offers than other cruise lines. Thanks for the question.

When I complained to CLIA about the Horizon Video Poker machines, they told me to talk to Carnival about it! Really Sherlock?! There goes the assumption that CLIA is regulating the onboard casinos!

I get that. The “policy” is to run it through the cruise levels first. I just put a video out where I read it word for word. I’m sorry you had that experience.

Yeah, I’m going to miss having so many cruise options compared to before. I’m a slot player mostly. Low bets is my game. I’m seeing less cruising possible. I cruise and play because the cruise is free.
