I do my skincare before my mask (since nothing ever absorbs after) and I keep my mask on for a bit longer. When I’m done, I squeeze out as much essence from the mask as I can and apply it like a sleeping pack! I wake up glowing every time!

I know people like to moisturize after but for me, I’ve experienced pilling and products not sitting well on top of the mask serum so I decide not to. It depends on your preference and if your products can work together that way ^^

@@ginabinafofina Oh okay, that makes sense. I usually use pure aloe Vera gel (I use the one from WOW, since it's like 99% pure, which is good enough for me) to moisturize as part of my routine CTSM twice a day, I thought I can use the sheet mask for the serum+essence/hydration and apply my aloe Vera moisturizer afterwards the same way, just like how I do it after the usual serum application. But I have to see how it goes, since I have never used a sheet mask before. I've bought that Garnier one and am planning to use it on weekend. Let's see how it feels after I use it.

Rinsing after taking off your sheet mask is a MUST!! I've asked dermatologists, workers at beauty clinics. They all say gently massaging the essences into your skin without the need of rinsing is just a commercial strategy making consumers think that it's simple and easy to use.

Skin care beginner here. Just curious, after pulling the sheet mask from the packaging, could you seal the packaging and save the extra liquid for later use or would that somehow contaminate or render the leftover useless?

I think it depends on ingedients that are inside, if its with hylaruonic acid you can use it later but if the mask contains retinol or vitamin c it's better to use it immediately :)

It’s recommended that you keep it in the refrigerator and use it within 24 hours. When you decide to use the leftovers, you can just apply it like a serum or use a dry “blank” sheet mask to create another mask. They sell them on Amazon and they are made for DIY sheet masks but they are great for using up remaining essence. You can also use cotton rounds and lay them on your skin after dipping them in the essence and leave them on your face for a bit. I also like using leftover essence all over before moisturizing my body.
