Hey,this is another Thomas,writing here on my wife's page(with her permission,of course) I scored a 22.5 , but then again, I am 60! This seems like a good general knowledge test,and congrats on a good job compiling it. But for all of you younger ones tests like these can't measure emotional intelligence,social or occupational intelligence. I scored a 23. According to the video I'm a "genius" for my age, but I don't know if that's correct at all based on the questions I've been given. How the hell am I supposed to know what the highest number on a dartboard is, and how does that determine my overall intelligence whatsoever? 50% of these are way too easy, 25% are about things I've never even considered worth noting, and the other 25% are actually decent questions. These are just random facts, there's no way this could actually determine how intelligent you are.

I think it's rather misleading to write "intelligent" for this test. Intelligence and general knowledge of facts have loose correlation. While it is true that more intelligent people tend to have higher general knowledge it is untrue of the opposite. Just because you know a lot of tidbits and random facts does not make you intelligent. Intelligence is marked by how flexible the brain is and how fast and efficiently it can work to figure things out (such as a complex math problem or a challenging riddle). Also, with only 20 random questions on 20 random facts, this also isn't a very good way of revealing how much general knowledge someone has. Maybe a test with 50 or 100+ questions would test that better. Then again, it also depends on where someone grew up. Where as a community in Georgia may have general knowledge in some things a community in Hawaii would have vastly different concepts on what general knowledge should be. For example: How many people here can tell me what an "Ahupua'a" is? For people who live in the state of Hawaii this is common knowledge. But for people living anywhere else in Hawaii they wouldn't naturally know this information. This test is a poor way of measuring intelligence and should not be labeled as such. For those of you who scored low, don't be discouraged. This doesn't mean you aren't smart. Intelligence isn't just measured by any one category of knowledge. I would suggest taking an actual IQ test if you really want to know how "intelligent" you are. But just remember there are many different types of intelligence in the world and just because you are less than average in one area doesn't mean you are incapable of excelling in another.
