Do you know if there are any filters for removing auto paint fumes? Having trouble finding

they don't really make them bro. I use a kind of home made setup where my booth exhausts through a concertina filter, then through a huge carbon filter used for growing weed, then into a water bath before exiting my shed. it works really well and you can barely smell when I'm using bad stuff like etch or 2k clears. only thing is that the carbon filter gets 'saturated' before long and needs regular changing. it's 4 ft long and 1.5ft wide and costs about $220AUD to replace. if you use it when it's saturated it just blows the smell of 2k through even if I'm not using 2k lol. so best used only for really bad stuff unless you can find a massive industrial one, or one that can be cleaned somehow? 🤔

@@joeprinsen1717 interesting. How many hours of spray time does the carbon filter last? Have you considered using fiberglass spray booth filter instead of concertina? Might help it to last longer

what about for wicked, createx or water based paints

Hello thanks for the question, you can use concertina or fibreglass filters when dealing with waterbased paints (industrial or airbrush paint types) . Concertina filters and fibre glass can be found here for more research : www.ultrimaxstore.com/spray-booth-filters-c-26 - any other questions please feel free to ask. KR UltrimaxTeam

@@ultrimaxcoatingsltd thank you, I was wondering more for filtering systems beyond the air unit. More of a separate filtering system to pull the paint out of the air to cause less build up, or would it just be best to change the regular air filter once a month or two months

@@df1phantom Hi no its a good question, the answer I would say is in two parts. Firstly yes changing the spray booth filters routinely (depending on how much you spray) will definitley help not only pulling overspray out of the air but also paint finish quality and booth cleanliness. To help extraction in general you need to know your spray booth flows and LEV. To undertsand this a little more i'd suggest you take a look at our other video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3exl4ppd9hmea8 if you have any questions about that one just come back and we'll answer them for you .
