This is such a reassuring and helpful video, and it's so great to know how much happier you are with your current degree!!

I’m glad you were able to notice what could make you happy. Not only that but also sharing it with everyone that could watch this video. You seem like an amazing person, plus your videos are helpful and interesting, this isn’t the exception. I know I’m a stranger but I wanted to tell you that you inspire me. I wish you the best (I don’t think I have to, you seem like the kind of woman that would go and get what she wants) 💜

Hi Maddy, I was wondering if you know how competitive it is to get in to LFS (fnh)? I’ve heard that other faculties like sciences and sauders are harder to get into due to the competitiveness.

Hi! I didn't directly apply into LFS when I applied to UBC. LFS is one of the smaller faculties and the programs are all much smaller compared to other faculties. I honestly couldn't tell you how competitive it is because it really depends on the year. In general though, good grades and a strong personal profile will serve you well! Good luck to you!!

Hey, I was just wondering if you have any ideas about future occupations based off your degree? Or job prospects in general? I’m assuming you are in the food nutrition and health program (correct me if I’m wrong haha). I know being a dietitian is a popular option, though I’ve heard it’s super competitive! Since I actually applied for fnh, I’m just worried that I’m making a bad decision and heading towards a “dead end”.

Honestly I don't see myself doing any one specific thing. I have always enjoyed doing a little bit of everything. And while I have thought about pursuing Dietetics, I can't say I want to go be a dietitian. For me it's more about having the knowledge and experience to go and do literally anything I want. There are so many options as to what you could go and do with a BSc in FNH. The same can be said about literally any other degree... it doesn't matter what you study. It's all about what you make of the experiences you've had. It's not a bad decision. If you enjoy it and it is interesting to you, it is not a bad decision. When you're passionate about something, you will find a career of some kind whether that means its one you build from the ground up or working for someone else! There is opportunity everywhere!
