I must say what some parents do abroad is not gentle parenting. They are just afraid of what the society will do to them.

I enjoyed this conversation. The Edunjobi's have inspired me. I remembered some years back when they where teaching Feranmi memory verse. She was so young and I had never seen anything like that back then. It stuck with me and inspired me. God bless you all.

I really loved this! Such an important topic! Gentle parenting is a healthy & important discussion to have with your partner before marriage because If one partner believes in harsh & strict parenting, it will deeply affect the person who doesn't believe in such!❤️🙏.

Teachers still beat in Nigerian schools, however, it differs with school. Recently, a church member spanked my baby sister at church, who is 16years, I lost my home training that day. I saw it has lowering my sister's self esteem. There should be better ways of handling teenagers.

Yes they still beat. Sometime last year my niece came back home with a mark on her palm, when I asked her what happened she said her teacher beat her because she pea on her dress I told my niece what she did was wrong (at that time from my research I found out that when she is in school she doesn't talk she is always mute) she is now better though Next day I went to school with her and met with the principal and gave the teacher a serious warning. How can you beat a child to the point she has a mark (I showed her the picture if it ) then she apologised bla bla bla that it won't happen again Since then it hasn't happened again.

I do flog some teens in church self🙆🙆🙆 but it's their rude and unchanging attitude that causes it but I will try the gentle training but don't know how since they are a lot and from different backgrounds and attitudes.
