Just bought one of these as the one that was on the toilet when I bought the house started leaking. I bought this same one and the POS leaked from the black plastic nut and below the cylinder! How can they even sell this junk.

@mac11th I agree mac, if ptfe tape and pipe dope are needed they should be included out of the box. Some people do say it works I'm assuming it may for VERY SMALL water hammers. I'd solder in real sized arrestors to fix the problem correctly and replace them every X amount of years depending on when they start showing signs of wear
