I use to freak out how many times Kendrick Perkins would hit the back iron from a 5 ft jump hook and Hibbert would hit the front iron on the same shot. They don’t have the touch like the old timers. It’s like they’ve never seen film on Wilt, Jabbar, McHale or Olajuwon

@@Shifty1940 no its cause i think most bigs focus on other things besides the soft touch of bigs from the past. Mainly things like positioning and using their big bodies for plays.

Mchale had the best shooting touch ever in the post. I think he had a natural feel for what his defenders were going to do as well. He often scored even when triple teamed.

Kevin Mchale, Akeem, Moses Malone are the greatest post players ever. They had so many moves in the paint and could score at will. There aren't any good post players anymore. Everyone's just chucking up 3's now.

Yeah this is really moving to me, the passing on of great hoop wisdom. I love it that Garnett considers McHale a great master, which of course he truly is. Had they played prime to prime it's easy to imagine that neither would be able to stop the other, too much offensive firepower. McHale the first founding member of the 60 -80 club. But make no mistake, Garnett would not have enjoyed being in the Torture Chamber, not one bit....

Let's entertain the thought: Duncan yes. I've got Barkley at second but anyways then Karl Malone, Mchale is in the Top 5 (not the greatest defender) but KG was league MVP I understand Mchale was smarter more technical had more moves but KG was a more complete NBA player, anyways who else would be in there before KG ? that's just 4. Webber is in there, and then a Dirk Nowitzki somewhere but I don't think 7th for KG is fair at all.

McHale was one of the BEST power forward defenders EVER. All _NBA first team. ONly Duncan and KG could compete on D. Offensivley, McHale was better than both. I have McHale at #2 as well. (Yes, his peak was cut short due to injuries, but, McHale was a monster)
