All Area59' PAF wound by Marc, thats no secret see our WS infos we play with open cards! But! the Area59' PAF s wound to our specs they have higher values with partial loaded mags which makes a huge difference in sound compare to fully loaded mags which most sound overpowered! 70% off the sound IMO came from the magnet itself since the other material builders using are same...49,2 CAB bobbins, German silver baseplate wire etc. Polescrews/Slugs makes a small difference only windingpattern is also different so some sound better some not...Out Specs are Windings/Value and last but not least a Custommade magnet which is compared to other builders mags, not fully charge! We using partial loaded Custommade Mags for Neck and Bridge Pickup! We checke most of all Main Mag manufactures, HS Mags, SenssMAG, Thomss and Skinner (USA) Arnold Magnetics (USA) they all build Vintage specs mags but all are different in sound ! We tested most common A2 A4 and A5. We finally landed by a German made Mag polished! This mags sounded much better compare to all others we tested. Our Main guitar was 59' Handbuild Replica which sound really great woody tone etc. we had compared this with an org. 1960 Gibson LP Standard.... 07 440 Beauty of the Burst book! ..one of the best sounding 60's available and we came really close in tone to this one!° So the Area59' PAFs are different to Marcs PAFs which are also great! @@VisualGuy

What’s up!! Could you give me a hint about the Tyson tone (precious and grace) x Gibson custombuckers? Thanks bro!
@VisualGuy9 ай бұрын
Well, the P&G are just better IMO. Custom buckers are just fine. They leave a lot to be desired for me personally but some folks love them. P&G are an A4/A2 set. Medium wind with lots of woody tone but with string separation. CBs are A3, scooped sounding which compliments the mid range LP nature if you want an even sounding, flat tone from the guitar configuration.

Love the sound of these are these the vintage wire set? I was just looking at their site today. I am interested in ordering a set of the beast bucker guitar pick ups that they made our are making I should say and I have to tell you the sound is definitely fantastic. Everything is certainly new old stock. I’m assuming the wire on these pick ups is not, but if so, please correct me because I know that is available however the aging process and their parts are on point from what I’m reading. These are certainly one of the most accurate sets available including against my favorites, whiz and repro throwback curious what you think of these and how they compare to the wiz I know it’s a different magnet, however, have you tried their beast bucker, limited edition Pick ups, they blow the cream tea ones out of the water man. Thanks look forward to hearing your opinion in it. 5:36

the secret is the magnet! IMO its 70% overall of the tone! Why because we tested all major mag builders A2 A4 and A5 mags and they all sounded different! Finally we landed by a germany custom build A5 mag! We using higher values for our PAFs, normally 8,1 Neck and 8,3K Bridge with partial loaded A5 mags (polished!) we using same winding patterns and numbers of turns, the NOS Wire has slightly different values in case of tolerance of the wire itself! With same turns of winding they came our 7,9/8K and 8,2K! I never was thinking that the wire itself makes such difference but he DID! With the NOS wire they sound a bit more closer to a fantastic old sounding PAF, the Standard Area59' Series itself nails the good PAF tone already!

Got a Gibson LP standard 60s (love the slim taper neck & finish “Unburst”), that being said, not a fan of the 61’ Burstbuckers that came stock (sound very air’y…uneven/unbalanced *the low strings/notes are very boomy & the bridge is kinda bland*, i have an SG standard 2004 with 490r/498t set & sound great with that guitar, sounds much better then the 61 BB’s to me. Looking to replace the Les Paul’s 61’s BB’s & wondering what to go with…looking for “that les paul sound” (as much as i love my sg 490/498t, it does basically every style well, really does the AC/DC and even Sabbath tones well), with the Les Paul im looking for something a Little different then my SG, i do want a pretty even sounding set of pups, kinda like a hotter bridge, but looking for that full/open sound but still with some bite/grit. Symour Duncan has odd demo’s ..i was leaning towards the slash 2.0 pups until i realized they sounded almost like Burstbucker 2’s..now in lookin into either wizz PAF humbuckers or Monty’s PAF hunbuckers, this will be my 1st time swapping pups & hard to get a true feel thru youtube demo’s..i like mostly playing overdriven on a marshall dsl 20, but obvs i enjoy i nice clean tone. I mostly keep my guitars in stardard tuning & like playing classic rock tunes from 60s-70s..mid 80s, i guess its a toss up between the SD Slash 2.0, Wizz PAF, or Monty PAF (almost got the SD antiquties..until i read people saying they sound pretty similar to 61 BB’s…which also turned me off from the SD Seth Lovers, since the ant’s & seths sound very similar thru all youtube demos and specs). Any input on suggestions would really help…not sure if the SD slash 2.0 alnico II pro’s are for me since theyre wax potted, but they seem less dynamic then the wizz or monty PAF’s…any help would be great!
