The AI ending is the canon ending if I remember correctly & there is a video made by "Threadbare inc" explaining the reasoning & criticism behind all 3 endings

@@foggysenor Technically all endings are canon (they couln't decide and didn't want to retroactively alienate player choices) as the sequel followed a weird merge of them all: JC did merge will Helios, which caused the infrastructure to overload and cause the great collapse...which in turn (somehow) allowed the illuminati to take over again. Though they have said that the Helios ending is the one they like the most so if we talk intent or what originally was supposed to be canon its definetly the most likely candidate.
