Max Foley then you have to use heron formula if all the sides of tringle in known if not then there should be a known angle in the tringle and from that you can get the area by multipley by the sine of the angle. It will be 1/2 the base times the hight times the sine of the angle. Hope this helps

Using Pythagoras Theorem she proved that this triangle is a right angled triangle, so it means you can use usual formula to find the area. But triangles can be different, in those cases you would use different formulas.

I guess there are three ways:- 1) By Heron's Formula, ∆= √[s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)] where s=[a+b+c]/2 {a,b,c are sides of triangle; s is semi-perimeter of the triangle} 2) Half of Base and Height. 3) The Trigonometric Formulae, ∆= [ab SinC]/2 ∆= [bc SinA]/2 ∆= [ca SinB]/2 {a,b,c are sides of the triangle; A,B,C are angles of the triangle.}

area of a triangle = (base x height)/ 2 in the case of a right angle triangle sides containing the right angle are actually base and height. so if other side is y then (12.4 x y )/2 =62 y = 62 x 2 / 12.4 = 10

This is probably too late, but to anyone else wondering how to find the height of a regular triangle if you have the side lengths, you just draw an altitude and then you have 2 30-60-90 triangles. This is because the angle measurements of any regular triangle is 60 degrees. From there, use a, aRoot3, and 2a to find your answer
