Trying to get a group of random people to join together in the hub is crazy difficult. Even in a full server people are out on quests already, don’t have nice to make it easier to ask to join up, or otherwise ignore you...I feel I won’t be able to do this with a team as intended.

Lol I don't think it'll work like that. I'm assuming since it's an already created session, you'll still be able to attack and break the part, but the team that did it fastest within that similarly started session (in terms of time) would get the rewards for breaking. Or maybe capcom thought of that ahead of time and just gives both team the reward.

dale knox What i meant was that you'll still be able to attack and break the part even when it's already destroyed in another session, my bad. I don't know if you've played it, but warframe has a similar system with their alcolytes. If you join the mission and it's killed before you have a chance at defeating it for THAT session, nothing happens, you're still able to continue the fight but as soon as you exit, the mission would be gone. I'm terrible at explaining so i apologize if you don't understand.

Meh, this game in particular is more friendly with that. Despite what a lot of people say, I rock the Jho armor and do amazing with it, potential procs often, I break a lot of parts, and I don't faint unless I'm cocky.

Sniff what they're probably doing is we keep repelling her at these limited missions and she retains the damage. Shell start off gold, move onto another metal and so on and so forth until we fight her at her prime which I can see being either platinum or diamond. Once she's at her strongest we'll be able to kill her officially and how quickly we do that will depend on how much damage she has endured throughout all these events.

16 player monsters sounds awesome.. but splitting qroups up is kind of stupid. If i dont even see the other groups whats the point? so group A is going to do 99% of the damage to a body part and then group B is going to break it by hitting it once and get more rewards??? I dont care if its the same monster everyone is fighting. they are trying to advertise this as a 16 player monster when its simply not.

I too am concerned about the "whoever breaks the part gets better rewards" part of this. Basically forces everyone to use part breaker and race against the other teams, and kind of makes me want to do this with just a single group of 4, so no one else is stealing my rewards. Also, you're right, the breaking isn't as important as which team did the most part damage imo.

It's more of a cumulative thing. Every mission that's done contributes to a pool at the end in addition to the actual mission rewards.

I have played all 300+ hours solo. I'm not going to have time to play this, at least not until I have finished God of War, which I assume will take 30-40 hours. Imagine this can be hard with randoms. I do want the armor, and perhaps some of the weapon (but I feel I have enoguh weapon). I'm kinda tired of MHW after farming Deviljho for two weeks, and not get a single Hero Streamstone for Axe (got 3+ for every other weapon, not a single Hero for the weapon I play the most with).

Marc Lee it seems like the drops vary depending on performance and raising the research level. The higher the level, the more rewards. While 16 isn't mandatory, the more players dealing damage and breaking parts will be better in the long run.

Veno I completely agree. It's crazy how this is not a permanent rare quest. I get they want the number of players to go up but as a fan and vet, this is not the way to do it. I don't want any relation between destiny's try hard and toxic community to MHW's helpful community. It should be allowed to get this quest offline (once you get the update online), it should be rare and it should last a week each time you randomly get the quest so you have the opportunity to get the random rewards. Hopefully they add permanent monsters for offline play.

I feel like all the “giant elder dragons” in the series are getting redundant. They’re all slow, lumbering, stumpy, 4-legged things. Kulve Taroth, Jhen Mohran, Dahren Mohran, Akantor, Ukanlos, (and to a lesser extent) Zorah Magdaros, and Nakarkos. I really liked Gogmazios and Dalamadur because they were very different from the norm. I’d appreciate if in the future, capcom would make giant elder dragons that looked like apes, insects, bears, etc.

They are improve versions of the current weapons in the shop but with gold style, and the higher the rarity the better the weapons stats or in universal game term godly stats if you can get the good ones.

To answer your statement about mounting KT (or Katie as I call her, lol) You can mount her normally, I was able to mount her (giggity) within a couple minutes of the first area, then again in another instance in the stalactite area. It is a typical "spam triangle+finisher" type of mount. You just have to have REALLY good luck and timing I think. Of the 2 times I've mounted her, it was on the high point of her back. After that I just moved to her face and had fun. On a side note, to all the people saying "it's a gold plated great jargas", you guys need to look up Ludroth from MH3U, same movements, same attacks almost. She is the Ludroth Goddess.

Great update! Don't forget the great game changing fixes they're gonna add with this 3.0 update. Like the flashpod effectiveness but one of my favorite would be the better rewards for tempered monsters ! Tier 1 now drops warped feystones Tier 2 Shining streamstones Tier 3 even more shining streamstones! Looking forward to this update !

It will scale to more than 2-4 my guess and not scale down if you try to solo

Yes. You don’t need to have 16 people to play this mode. 16 is just the maximum number of people that can participate in the quest since that’s how many people can be in a lobby at one time
