One cool thing that might be obvious to some but I didn't see people talking about (figured it out by accident) is that you can switch scrolls by using the D-Pad menu. So you can just leave the swap scroll icon selected and just press up or down on the dpad mid hunt to swap with one button press. I'm still testing it to see if it feels more natural than the regular method.

Check the quests for resetting pet skills - you get 3 pets to memory 8 to complete the quest, and the reward basically pick and choose 100% of your pet skills forever for free. There are also quests to change out palico support skills, you can change everything except the first and last one - this made is so much easier to have perfect pets for my hunts

On the citadel you can find a tunnel or pit that leads to a tower and partway up the tower there is a hole that can climbed into for a secret room

Go to the cohoot nest every 5. Or check it every time your pets return. It will be exactly full. that's the best indicator when they return from gathering go check the 2 nests. It even has a different look when its full

Is Master rank cap unlocked after beating final boss? I mean, like in Rise vanilla, is it worth doing every quest before final boss? Or should we rush the final boss to unlock the hunting rank cap, then doing all quests to upgrade our MR? EDIT: Got an answer from the Discord Gathering Hub. Rushing Final boss then doing every quest is better; because like in Rise, rank points are not accumulated.

Why they are not acumulated? Every time I unlocked cap I immediately got some levels, so I think they cumulate even when you are at cap.

Such a great update! Bute has anyone else had a very Bad bug, where your palico changed their abilities??? This happened to my starter palico as I used the New ability "Lostrommel" (I dont know the english Word,its the one where you randomly use a skill). And now the abilities are completely different! 😵 I reported it to capcom, but haven't heard of them yet. Hope that will be fixed in any way. 😕

I have been doing Sunbreak on PC, where I was still at the HR40 breakpoint quest and when I did the quest, it bumped me to HR50 quest upon completion and then when I did the HR50 quest, it jumped me to the 60s. So you do bank rank.

did all MR 1-5 quests just to end at MR6 without any banked EXP. Such a let down. but i just needed to do 2 final bosses for MR10. maybe an exp boost instead of straight banked. Correct me if wrong.

I guess I didn't catch this with Rise... you're saying if you keep doing quests etc while you are MR capped, when you complete the next Urgent Quest it will retroactively reward the xp you got while capped? I always figured it was important to clear the Urgent Quest asap so you could keep contributing towards your MR (or in my case HR).

Yes and no; in base Rise, at least, your HR is locked during the initial ranks, until you finish the main quest lines. I think HR 8 is the last. If you hit a cap before this point, you will NOT accumulate/bank more ranks. After this point, however, your HR will be capped at a few different stages - I believe the first is HR 20; when you reach these stages, you can keep doing quests, and they'll count towards your total HR once you clear the quest to reach the next cap (or completely uncap, in the case of HR 100). Don't quote me on this - I might be wrong, but this is how I THINK it works.

@@eivind261093 Yes I can confirm this. I remember when I was HR20. I played other hunts without touching Urgent Quest for quite long because I want to wait for my friend to catch up. Then we hit the Urgent Quest together to find my HR suddenly went far above my friend, like 28 or something. So I believe this is the case, the Rank progress is not wasted, it was just not visible, but as soon as you unlock the Rank cap, it overloads.

Sunbreak is an absolute blast! Especially the level of customization. Though, my only thing that left me wanting is we don't have anything like Iceborne's Guiding Lands. With the amount of mobility and verticality we have, a map with different biomes should've been on the priority list.
