It would be nice if the valorplates were different from each other rather than just dealing damage in a specific field. For example they could have some valorplates that were slow but do more damage and others that are fast and deal less but quick damage. Also would've been nice if dodging would be nice for example some valors could have teleportation as dodging. Lastly the transition between sword to shield is so bad you can't pull of a parry mid animation. They shouldve allowed us to cancel animations

Bulwark really is no different from any of the "Ailment based" Valorplates. In fact some might be even better, depending on what you can find. I'd go with Greyhawk. It may not have "insane damage potential" of Hinterclaw, nor useful summons from Archon mode, but what it does do well - dish out reliable damage. Those extra 10% soulshatter it offers, are great. Building towards soulshatter buildup basically kills enemies before they can realize it, with you having to remove only around half of enemy max hp and then do a finisher in form of heavy attack, running shield bash or Southern Technique. Illumina - weakpoint focused Valorplate is a monster. She is the only valorplate that lets you have a 2 spots with a lot of adjacent augments effectively letting you build several super-powered augment clusters. On top of that her Archon mode perfectly compliments her focus as well as a lot of augments and gear. Last but not least - Aegishorn. He looks cool, gives some base defense boost and can serve as a decent base for a good number of builds.

They keep calling this a live service game, and comparing it to Anthem it’s nothing like Anthem. Bulwark is a literal beast! I'm running 3,300 might, 94% crit chance and 600% crit damage fully buffed. HinterClaw can't even compare to the damage potential of a crit built ailment valor plate because you will rarely have the full 150% bonus from his ultimate up. Edit: So I take this some what back as I just got an augment that exposes weakpoint when eve you use your northern and then do +99% weakpoint to that weakpoint. I went past trial 10 and I see thats where the game opens up for hinter claw the number of enemies on screen is a lot more moving higher. Having a blast with this so far!

My aegis horn build is stormflayers, with 3 augments that make the play style. Surety for weak points, I forget the name of the other but it gives you archon fury charge for hitting weak points, then blackstar, makes you uninterruptible during rampage. Also the ring that gives you overhealth for hitting weak points. When you use inner focus on the dual blades because it’s the norther tech, the enemies always have a weak point up. Bam, God tank Aegis horn. Archon fury for days and a shit ton of over-health.

Demon's Souls is okay, but it just makes me appreciate the QoL stuff in later titles throughout the Souls series and Godfall is, currently, and outright scam. It may be good eventually but right now it's a $30 game at most. Spider-Man is the shit though, no complaints there.

So far I've been enjoying Greyhawk. He specializes in soulshatter. I've been using him and it's been pretty good at dispatching mobs and wearing down bosses. I initially played as Bulwark and Armistice and I like them as well.

Vertigo, armistice and typhon are my favorites. People sleep on typhon but with the right setup that valprplate is beast. BTW. Give it a try, don't listen to all the negatives. Lol as a person who enjoys looters, like Diablo for example. This game isn't that bad. Yes it has its cons but its on the verge of perfection. You get about 30 hours of gameplay before it becomes very stale... you can min max for maybe another 10 hours and then its just boring.. like full min maxed nothing to do repeat over and over because your bored and locked inside.. its not worth the price at all but it is very fun for the first 15 hours

Not sure why everyone keeps suggesting Hinterclaw is the best of all... he is by default one of the weakest of all valorplates due to him having the lowest amount of augment slots, the best Valorplates are the ones with the most augment slots & the strongest valorplates are the ones that allow you to put the most RED (Might/ attack power) or BLUE (Spirit/ Ability Power) augments into them... Greyhawk should have been in the number 3 spot

I prefer to use Armistice and employ a tactic that I like to do called "Fight Club" I place down a banner to boost my damage a bit, then the healing aura ability after using a life stone, pop the Northern Technique on the Stormflayers, then lastly pop his ability. I effectively have made a "Fight Club" with my own benefits, I'm fairly new to the game but I just wanted to put this here because I enjoyed the content and wanted to share what fun I've had with the game so far.

I am enjoying the game quite a bit, but one of my main complaints is that before launch, they were talking about how each plate was gonna completely change the way you play, only for them to be some variation of "Deal X% more damage of this type." I think one very small tweak they could do would be to have the passive/secondary effects from Archon Fury (the damage buffs part, basically) constantly active at around 20-50% of the full strength. As an example, the elemental plates all have 90% increased chance to apply the status ailment, 100% increased damage to enemies afflicted by the ailment, and attacks deal whatever element. If each plate had a constant version of those buffs that was a smaller amount, using Phoenix as an example - 15/20% increased chance to Ignite, 50% increased damage to ignited enemies, that in and of itself would be a huge improvement. Right now, just having a passive 10% extra damage of whatever type is just meh. It's still not the most interesting thing in the world, but it would make a huge difference to the elemental plates in particular. It would make them feel way more specialized. The actual Archon Fury attack is also pretty meh. The totems one is pretty strong, the AOE elemental nova doesn't really seem to do much, and the summons ones seem ok at best - haven't really played Hinterclaw or Armistice yet, I think they're the ones with the 3 spirit summons. Each plate definitely needs to have a much more unique Archon Fury. If they're going to treat them as essentially your "ultimate ability," then they need to be better and more interesting/impactful.

Stacking weakpoint damage with Illumina is really fun so far, but Greyhawk with a Soulshatter-focused build, and Armistice with a Breach/Takedown build are all fun. Hinterclaw can be fun with loads of crit, but haven't finished a build with him yet to really test it.

It just came to me that Archon Fury should trigger a signature weapon for each Valorplate with different moves and combos, similar to Rage in GoW! That would be sick, but I understand the team didnt want to "dictate" which Valorplate should be assigned to which weapon type and also had tight deadlines and needed to focus on doing fewer things best.

This was literally how every piece of promotional video showed off archon mode working. Silvermane had his weapons turn into spectral swords that swirled around him and attacked for him. The game we got isn't the full thing and it sucks, but they all originally had their own special shit for archon mode.

I'd love to see the fully fleshed out game, but if they end up making the fixes as the dlc, it will absolutely kill the game. There's a lot of shit communities can move past and work through with devs if there's mutual respect involved, but if you charge players to get the finished version of a game (after charging $60-70 for a clearly old build) nobody will stick around.

Honestly Aegishorn is the most OP with damage reduction. You can do huge damage with him. I decided to try and make a build with Hinterclaw though. I have big time augments that kick ass so yeh. Dual blades hinterclaw is disgusting damage if you can land hits without dying which I can't half the time 😂

You will have all of the valorplates by the time you reach the end of the campaign (10-15 hours). There is no NG+, but there are optional versions of the original missions with a greater difficulty.

i think hinterclaw is actually one of the weakest valorplates. Just because what makes valorplates strong are augments mixed with the gear and the strongest augments in the game are the might ones which makes hinterclaw weak cuz it has only 3 might augment nodes and with the crit gear basically any valorplate will have high crit chance and crit dmg anyways making it even worse. Following that same line of thought the other two good ones are Greyhawk (second most amount of might augment nodes) and Ilumina because archon fury extra weak point dmg makes her do higher dmg than the other ones (since weakpoint dmg is META stat alongside, raw and crit) those are my 3 best valorplates right now. I would throw here Aegishorn and Vertigo as honorable mentions for Ailment and Shield builds respectively.

Pro Tip : Don't pay attention to Archon Fury extras, no1 cares about that. Armstice for example is best when playing full MIGHT, 7 MIGHT SLOTS in total, is just insane for high DMG output.

@@Asriel_Cypher People release "End Game Activity" videos within days of release for any game you've ever played, including some of the largest games ever made. Never take the word of people who no-life games on how long said game is. You can finish an entire WoW expansion in just a couple days if you no-life it, doesn't mean it's bad (not saying I like WoW, just an example). From my playtime it took around 15 ish hours to finish the story while also doing some exploration and optional missions, and then maybe another 15 to get to level 50 and start doing actual endgame activities. That's not a terrible amount of content before endgame, but it's also not nothing. Sitting at about 45 hours now and still having fun. Bugs absolutely need to be fixed. I've been mostly lucky myself, but my good friend keeps getting the bug where he can't use his light attacks, which is basically game-breaking. Every once in a while he also can't block or gets hitching. Really the worst bugs I've experienced are not being able to interact with stuff or not getting the buffs in the Ascended Tower. Oh, and for god's sake, please get rid of the bug that's locking all my old gear! I have so much crap from low levels that can't be salvaged because the game thinks it's still equipped on other valorplates lol.

I’ve been following your videos since before godfall came out and was super hype for this game. So much so that I completely beat it solo on hard difficulty on day one with no sleep and took a paid vacation day off work for it and I loved every minute of this game. That being said I’m pretty disappointed with your videos of this game. I mean you don’t even know about greyhawk? He’s easily the best dps plate in the game and it’s not even close. I use longswords and duelblades and with longswords it takes me one to two light attacks to completely fill out trash mob soulshatter bar and then one heavy for the kill or if it’s a boss it takes about 4-5 hits and that’s not including technique attacks. How you missed this plate is both surprising and disappointing. I have 200 percent so shatter build up, over 50 percent crit rate and 200 crit damage. Meaning half my attacks at least are doing 200 percent extra damage on top of the crazy soulshatter build up. Those hits are with longswords by the way they are my favorite even though I believe I do get slightly better dps with duel blades I like the tech hits better and play style more of the longswords. Gotta do better man, I’m disappointed in you for missing this plate and not telling people about it so it’s a dislike for me my man.

It is so freaking hard to find suggestions on the first Valor plate to get. Google "Best Valor Plate Godfall" and it is literally all reprints of the Exact same article that just names EVER SINGLE ONE. Seriously,. google it. It is annoying af.

Dot builds are useless vs bosses as they can't get statis effects.

No variety when it comes to valor plates, a lot of bugs, recycled bosses over and over again, you pretty much see everything after 10 hours, combat should be very aggresive, but you can't cancel attacks so you can't even play as aggresive as it should be, loot is meh etc.

this game is sadly graphics/looks > gameplay the combat itself is hella fun, and weapons have such new and exiting stats. however the various stats like bleed, shock, ignite, curse and poison. DOES THE SAME THING!!! and the valorplates are so boring. almost all of them does the exact same thing, just for different elements/ailments

I bought the game, but I got my refund before the two hour mark. I like parts of the gameplay, but I have problems with it also with the most glaring being that there is no controller customization at all on PC.

This game is so generic, battleplates have zero personality, people comparing this to warframe never played warframe before, what a disappointment of a game, wish you would be more objective with this game. But I guess you have your hands tied with all that exclusivity you’ve been getting, but this really hurts your credibility as a creator in my opinion. No hate ,I really respect and appreciate your hard work , just saying how I feel about this all.

@@rudrod95_41 He covers third person looters mostly so why shouldn't he be doing this? He doesn't tell u to buy the game or that its awesome. There are people who enjoy godfall, like me, despite it's many flaws. Diablo 3 was absolute bullshit at release, especially in the loot department. Nobody would have dared to tell a youtuber he loses credibility by covering it. Coverage alone doesn't make his channel bad...

Totally agree. A few months ago a vid was produced explaining how they only cover games they really enjoy. This game is hot garbage so either way credibility goes way down.

Generic ain't its biggest problem. The game is rushed. You can tell they had to meet the release date. Content cut, rushed crap. Its a shame, cause the combat has potential.
