Why do you think the Ancient Greeks had two different gods, Ares and Athena, responsible for different aspects of war rather than one single war deity?

I think it’s interesting that they had two war gods. After all, war brings out the worst in humanity and the best.

Ares was only depicted negatively in Athens, hence the uplifting of Athena their names sake.

Because the goddess worshipers of cybele magna mater were despised by the “celts” who worshiped mars and Jupiter or shamash adad. Mars is also known as Amon in ancient Libya. What I found most interesting is that the Amazones were children of Ares. That means the Dacians and Goths are sons of Ares, like the cathars and templars who obviously worships ares as well. Your intellectual god is not my god. Cybele ftw!

For war is death, and death is waste. A life should not be wasted while it may yet be controlled to serve a greater purpose...

Remember that more intelligent tribes had to protect them selves from more primitive agressive people. Later the enslaved them. Like Thracians etc. liked to enslave celts.
