Respect is very much associated with the civil rights movement as well as the women’s rights movement. Yes, Nina Simone was influential in her music as well, but this video is about Aretha Franklin and her accolades. So how about we stay on the subject at hand.

rest in peace my sista you did great things and i know god was glad to get you in that choir with mahala jackson whitney houston and billy holiday just a few of the black people that highly placed black folks in a respectful place in america there was a time areatha couldnt use a public rest room or drink out a whites fountain , thank god we dont need fountains no more but this was a typical way for people to stay cool during summer when we had no bottle water , blacks were treated horrible ,and when a group of black got together and built wall street in tulsa they burned that down which was epic as to the mental issues in white america ARETHA TALKED ABOUT HER DISCUSS WITH RACISM she said she only got respect from whites cause she dominated the stage with her brilliance she demanded respect which woke up a lot of folks whom were sleeping on racism ,... she demanded this in a era you would be hung from a tree if you voice this kind of proactive words , that is why she is so great , its not just her singing its her presence , she had this look on her face that was so black motherly she rarely smiled like the mona lisa she had that mysterious grin, and you knew you had to speak in her presence or she was gonna set you right, its not just the voice its the combination of excellence and praise she was able to master THANK YOU GOD I LIVED TO SEE THIS KIND OF BEAUTY AND GRACE , when god created her he had a specific thing in mind .. she battled her weight but she was respected , she love food but we loved her , and when i think of powerful black women she is it GOD BLESS HER SOUL AND THANK YOU ARETHA FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR OUR SPIIRIT AND MINDS

When Whitney Houston Pass Away Eight Years Ago On February 11th 2012. The Music Industry, The Television Industry & The Hollywood Film Industry, Was Saying Much Negatives Things About Whitney Houston's Death.
Most singers other than Aretha actually over sings, but she doesn't. Singers such as Patty Labelle, Jennifer Holiday, Jennifer Hudson, and many others. they can sing well, but they over sings, and I believe it takes a professional to do what Aretha does.

PLEASE REMEMBER CLARA WARD WHO CAME BEFORE ARETHA LOUISE. YOU DONOT KNOW THE DEPTH OF LEGENDS WHO CAME BEFORE-BEFORE-ARETHA. ARETHA WAD INFLUENCED BY HER MOTHER AND CLARA WARD WHO WAS THE LOVER OF HER FATHER. CLARA WARD IS WHO TOOK GOSPEL MUSIC TO THE MAIN STREAM-CROSSING OVER. PLEASE DONOT PLACE ARETHA ON THE HIGHEST PEDESTAL BECAUSE THAT IS HISTORICALLY AND FACTUALLY INCORRECT. 💕💕⭐️
@rashad2213 жыл бұрын
Clara Ward was mentioned in this video and how she learned from her growing up, but I guess you were too busy typing this foolishness to hear that part. As talented as Clara might have been, she STILL HAS NEVER REACHED THE SUCCESS NOR NOTORIETY THAT ARETHA HAS. So we certainly will place her on the highest pedestal, because THAT’S WHERE SHE BELONGS.

@@brilliantdiva5068nah dummy, it’s clear you’re the idiot if you really think that her contributions outweighs Aretha’s success. It doesn’t. You said it was Clara Ward who took Gospel music over to the mainstream, as if anybody was talking about that in this video or the comments. No one made a mention but you, as if it negates the success that Aretha has. Again, It doesn’t. F*ck outta here.
