Can you mention in video comments a more precise time to tip? This may help with the confusion you have developed by being so late with your video in future summers or tipping time.

When you want to. It depends on what your goals are and your growing location. It is impossible for anyone to make a video explaining every growing situation in every growing location. And the only way to learn what works best in your situation is to grow the blackberries and figure it out. She gave you the basic information needed to begin doing that. I can`t tell someone how to grow a fig tree or potatoes in a desert or in France because I grow figs and potatoes in Louisiana. Like many tomatoes blackberries don`t set fruit in very hot months above 90 degrees. If you prune the canes you delay blooming but at the same time you increase the number of blooms. But if you delay blooming until temperatures have reached 95 to 100 degrees you won`t see much fruit. If that`s the situation prune some tips early like she mentioned and maybe prune more tips a little later and take a chance. If you wait too long there will be blooms developing at the tips.
