We beat Kuwait only by 1-0 I knew it then, that we will never win against a much stronger team Qatar or Uzbekistan. Its amazing that all low ranking teams are either winning or making draws against high ranking teams but not India. Azerbaijan ranked 117 beat Sweden 3-0 Bangladesh ranked 180 drew against Lebanon and China. Togo, another 120 ranked team drew against Ranked 20, Senegal Now Greece Ranked 50 drew agaist France which is in Top 5 Even vietnam played well against Japan Iraq(63) defeated Japan(17) Indonesia(146) beat vietnam(93) which India couldn't. Thailand drew 1-1 against Korea, Imagine. Even Indonesia drew 1-1 against Saudi Arabia Palestine drew 1-1 against South Korea. . 10 years plus of ISL and we have learnt nothing about football. Sheer numbers of low goals in ISL and the goals, corners, Passes, free kicks etc only made by only foreign players tells you the quality of Indian football. Aur tumlog abhi bhi kehte rahoge, we are improving day by day. Please stop this, even Bangladesh is doing better than India these days. Abhi nahi to kabhi nahi, tumlog buddhe ho jaoge support karte karte, but Indian football Improve nahi hoga. Kitne saal ho gaye India ko football khelte? Ye koi naya sport to hai nahi ki itna time lage perfect karne me? . Inter-school, Inter-college sports competitions should be made compulsory in India for every schools and colleges. Right now only high class schools and colleges do that where students are more focused on their studies than sports. Good young players will come from small schools which are in villages but such schools do not organize sports events. And also students are not much interested. I was stunned to know the age of Barcelona player Yamal. He is just 16 and already a World class player. How do these guys make debut in such tinder age? Of course they would be playing football in their schools. Just think how many Indian schools have sports teachers? They are there just in high class schools where students are not that much interested in sports. Because of this reason we are not just shameful in football but in olympics too. Just see how many tennis players come out of India? None. And see how many come from small countries like Serbia and Poland. Many and all of them are world class. Its Shameful for a huge nation like India. Foreigners say it right, we have just numbers not quality.
